Lapland New Forest Scam. How to get money back...

* Dozens of former staff and customers are planning a protest outside the park this Saturday demanding it be shut down.
Well, this is the thread that has finally persuaded me to sign-up here. Although I've been lurking for a while.
So I'm absolutely not stooging for the park, OK?
For getting it shut down, my understanding of the current licencing system is that the council have a lot of general powers over outdoor events that could be used to close them.
Something like an impending protest & its potential for disturbance would almost certainly be amongst them. Similarly the Public Order Act might prove a useful tool.
Good luck to all who have been ripped off. Hope you get satisfaction.0 -

I have not been myself, guess I'm lucky, however I saw on the local news that Hebborns had provided the fair ground rides. Someone might like to know that Hebborns are an Oxford business. Hebborns W J Amusement Hirer,29 Cowley Road, Littlemore, Oxford. Telephone 01865 377468. Not sure how they fit into the full picture, however i hope this piece of information helps.0

No they would not have been sold to the owners with any knowledge of this sham of an event, but those dogs come from a very loving home and during the rest of the year they run free at home and go for very very long runs around the forrests.
How do you know thisDo the dogs actually belong to you?

I feel tears welling up
I hope violins were playing in the background.
I still can't get the new page to load. I presume that my pc has some sense of taste
I'm sending a report here
customs.confidential@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk
recommending they contact Mr Bott at Bankruptcy Enforcement so that they can co-ordinate their regulatory response, and then I'll contact the local MP to make sure they do it pronto.
I presume that originally they were going to put that Trading Standards recommend this as a great day out for the family.0 -

I was wondering does anyone have a copy of the letter they are sending to there credit card company to get money back for tickets - when they haven't been yet? I know its cheeky but just thought it would save me some time to have a look at someone else's.
Thanks Alison x

I too feel that saying they wish to use trading standards comment implies that the statement is positive. I will let you know when I hear this 'positive' statement. Anyone else that feels it is implying that could perhaps contact trading standards with their concerns. I am sure they are not very busy at this time of year:rotfl:0
