SarahScottiedog - congratulations on getting your money back from Barclaycard
Whilst I'm sure it's a relief, maybe you could add a little more detail - did you seek a chargeback, did Barclaycard challenge this, and if so, what was your winning argument?
May help others be successfull too
Or lets just hope they caved in under the weight of public outrage...
Thanks:beer:0 -

Newlyscammed, the above was a previous post by sarah, dated 4th Dec, which gives a little more info, until sarah comes back online.
I agree that the more info we get, the more pressure we can pile on to ensure everyone gets a refund.

Anyway, we haven't yet explored the possibilities of individual legal action yet, probably worth considering the options there.0

Did you visit, or was it closed before you had a chance to go? Did you claim under section 75, or a chargeback?alison6692 wrote: »Just to let everyone know we were refunded the full £305 from Natwest Credit Card today.

pancho villa,
From alison6692's previous posts, I believe she paid by natwest credit card and was scheduled to go on 21st Dec. I am under the impression that she claimed under section 75 and first rang the bank about it near the beginning of December.
As I said though, this is all from guessing from her previous posts.

Hello
I didn't actually state any ACT I was just told by the credit card company to claim for " goods not recieved " - I was one of the lucky ones that didn't go as it had closed down by then. This has meant my claim was much easier.
Basically I made my claim by calling them - they told me to write a letter stating I had not recieved the goods as the place had closed down by then.
Annoyingly I got no response to that letter - so called Natwest again. They sent me a form out which I filled in with an accompanying letter.
Heard nothing so called them today and they ahd credited my account on the 13th January.
HTH

I wouldn't say Natwest have been that great at their customer service but I am happy that I have my money back.
Really hope others also manage to get theirs back too.:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0 -

alison, I echo your comment above.
I wonder if Grant Thornton, the liquidators, are actually obliged to advise ticketholders of the Visa Chargeback scheme,
or whether they may just send out claim forms to become an unsecured creditor (ie unlikely to get any refund)
or if it would be possible to do a Visa chargeback via the liquidators, which would at least be tracked centrally? NB for those thinking of chargebacks, get on and do it now, following Gomer's guide as this last option is me thinking out loud and highly unlikely to happen.
