Each of you have given me at least one idea to go with
shellsuit - no i haven't even seen "Its a Wonderful Life" - it will top of my list!! many people have spoken about this film im beginning to think i am missing out on something! lol
i love National Lampoon, Muppet Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street .....ect
I am so glad you have all reminded me ...... can't wait till Dec now!!
Get the tissues ready when you watch It's a Wonderful Life. It's one of those 'ahhhhhhhh' feel good factor movies, tis sad too in parts, but it'll tug at your heartstrings and make you feel all warm and gushy inside
Or is that just me?

What about santa claus the movie the one with Dudley Moore as an elf? that ones great.
Also others mentioned before Elf, National Lampoons xmas vacation and Miricale on 34th street are all good. x0 -
A Christmas Carol with George.C.Scott from (I think)1978, or....A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart....or A Muppet's Christmas Carol......I'm sensing a theme here"a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0

Oooh, I love Christmas movies too
(oh, and music as well!)
I've got pretty much all of those mentioned already but I didn't spot "Scooged" anywhere with Bill Murray.
Another film I love watching (although not entirely suitable for little ones which I only realised whilst watching with my 10yr old daughter cos it has a couple of rudie bits in *ahem*
) is "Love Actually". There's nothing graphic but for an inquisitive 10 year old it there are a couple of scenes that raise a few questions and I was unable to spare my blushes :rotfl:
I love watching Bridget Jones' Diary (1 & 2) too.
One of my all time favourites is "Little Women" (the 1949 version with Elizabeth Taylor) and I'm gutted because I only had a copy of it on video and that's disappeared. Apparently you need a DVD player that can play American DVDs because that's the only copy that I've been able to find. Loads of the other versions ... but not the one I want.

my two favourites are White Christmas with Bing Crosby etc and Judy Garland in Meet me in St Louis, but my little girl ( who's 4) would sit and watch any of the disney christmas dvds from november right through to march if we let her! (not that i'd mind)0

Me, my OH and DS (5) love 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. It is something of a cult classic already and suitable for both children and adults. If you are the kind of adult who likes kids films you will probably enjoy it. It is also quite appropriate for watching at Halloween as well as xmas!0
