I don't have any children (just yet) but dh and I are very young at heart and enjoy all types of movies. It has to be said our dvd collection is very varied and includes Ice Age and Shrek amongst others!!
What are your favourite christmas time movies that you enjoy watching with your family/children?
The only christmas movie I own is "The night they saved Christmas" which goes back to my childhood. I am looking to increase my christmas dvd range but can't think of many - so I am after your help to remind me of the fab movies that gets you in the christmas spirit and which movies it wouldn't be christmas without.
If i remember correctly "The Grinch" is about christmas isn't it?

Muppet Christmas Carol would have to be my fave!
DD has Elf but I've never sat down and watched it all the way through but she loves it. Gremlins is another good one.
My mum saves the tokens in the Daily Mail every so often and sends for the free DVD sets they do - there was a Christmas themed set last year - hours of entertainment for very little.
I have Miracle on 34th street somewhere must look it out had forgotten all about it till I just saw it mentioned. Might wrap it for DD for Xmas - lol!Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hi Glitterycloud
We are big Christmas movie fans in this house - here are our selection:
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - An all time classic very funny.
A Christmas Carol (the musical with Kelsey Grammer) - Great if you like a good old sing song instead of the more classic story
The Santa Clause, 2 and 3 - This is an all nighter because the kids just have to watch all three.
Christmas with the Kranks - my DH and I laughed more than the kids with this one and also
Deck the Halls with Danny DeVito
and lastly Leslie Nielsen in Santa Who.
Channel five do afternoon films in the run up to Christmas, we record them too, some of them are naff but the feel good factor ones give you a sense of goodwill. All warm and fluffy.
Hope this helps

That's one film I've never watched ~ The Santa Clause!
I remember it coming out in the cinema and wanting to watch it, and even though it's on every year, it's just one movie I've never got around to watching.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
