I work in a wholefood wholesalers and for years we've had customers who do this,it can save you a fortune!
If you and your friends regularly use rice,pulses,grains and flour etc. you can order it in bulk and get it delivered for free (there will be a minimum order requirement) and then just split it amongst yourselves.
When you compare the prices that supermarkets and small shops charge for just 250g or 500g of these foods,you can't lose!
Google your nearest supplier....they don't even have to be particularly local due to the fact that you're buying in bulk. Most of them will also supply tea,coffee,sugar,toilet roll,soya milk,cereals,fruit,nuts, etc. all of which are easy to split once you've got them.
It's also a really good way to meet your neighbours if you want to set up a local group.
Plus,the supermarkets lose some profit.
It's a win/win situation.
