Nothing wrong with your computer specs. Thats fine

so.....could be one of a few things really ~
Hard drive on it way out (Does it sound 'noisier' at all?)
Virus/spyware (Malwarebytes and spybot is a good start)
Hardware problem (motherboard ~ thats NOT good)
Program conflicts (Installed anything recently that could have caused it?)
Overheating (NOT overheating if it starts fine though)
Error with the Operating system (should throw errors up though?)
Error with some running software (Boot in SAFE mode, if it runs fine then its looking like this one)

    Download CCLEANER
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
Run the top 2 scans (backup the registry when it asks)

    Download HIJACK THIS
    http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis
SCAN and post the log (do NOT stop anything from running)
my tower can sound quite noisy at times, i was watching x factor and i heard it realy noisy ( fan sort of noise ) clicked on what was running and it only showed money savings expert was running .seemed odd to be so noisy with a dormant programme running .
will this highjack thingy pinpoint my problems and is it easy to use as im a real novice / newbie to the this techy stuff .

    Thats your problem then

Bin them and get proper wired components (again ~ Asda are well cheap)

My grandfather had a wireless mouse and keyboard and they NEVER worked properly!

The 'noise' sounds normal to me

Hijack is VERY easy to use. Simply install. scan. and post the LOG here (split it up to fit)

Cant see that making deleting emails slow?
He did say that it was taking a number of clicks to do anything, that's what's making the deleting of emails slow.:D

Fully agree. I had the same problem until I went back to wired keyboard. Seems the signals were interfering, separately worked fine, together I got similar problems, lack of response from the mouse clicks, delays between typing and response on screen.
I suspect the problem will be sorted by replacing one or the other device.
