Getting charged for texts sent to me

Hi
Just wandered if anyone has received any messages from a multimedia recorded service which invites you to 'chat', I get them a lot, and I always press ignor, but I have just received my phonebill and it has over 10 quid charged to me bu an 84404 number. I am so angry and annoyed, how do I get rid of these, I haven't even asked for them to be sent to me?
