I've never used Callcredit so can't vouch for how accurate the information they hold is... the ones you need really to check are Experian and equifax. You can request your details on paper by sending a postal order I think - details should be on their websites. This way you can get your credit report without a credit card.
A CCJ stays on your credit file 6 years from the date of judgement so it is possible that it's dropped of. That doesn't mean the creditor can't go to the court and get them to "re-instate" it because you disappeared - by moving and not letting them know where you have made it a lot easier for them to get the judge on their side I'm afraid.
If they decide to go to extend or whatever it's called on the CCJ and you fail to pay they can apply for an "attachment of earnings" - that means they can get the money from your salary before you get it...
You need to address this properly and not try to run from it again - it's much easier for them because you "ran away" from the CCJ before making it impossible for them to track you down to make you pay...

    Hi

95% of the market is covered by Experian and Equifax. Call credit cover the other 5%.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • I think they are different for different companies. Its crazy i know. I may be wrong, but I read it on here somewhere yesterday.
Can you not ring NDL and just ask them?

Edit: Oh look, everyone beat me to an answer, and they were much better at it than me too!!
  • OK I upgraded the search and got equifax and experian added to the search, they have also come back with the same results. No CCJs, or anything else on file for me! The only thing that is showing on the experian one is 3 searches by a debt collector all on the same day back in 2004.
So what do you think? Am I paying Thames Credit for nothing? I have read many posts on here about how they rip people off etc and I don't want to be one of them!

Just would like to add I have tried to give Thames Credit my new address about 4 times but they still send all letters to my old address. My parents still live at my old address so I always get the letters within a couple of days.
So I have not moved house and not told them the new address and have never done that in the past either. ;)
