The not drinking part of pregnancy would be tricky for me but maybe I'd stop craving pinot and start craving coal or something

HI CMD - my advice with regard to baby stuff - you need about a third or less of what you think you do..... Also I would buy an easily collapsible pushchair with viewing window not a pram - our first we bought a pram - big mistake... second time we bought a much cheap lighter version - if I had a third (which I hope I don't) I want one of those 3 wheeler ones LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I think OH's parents will probably give us money as well and that can go towards a cot. There is certainly lots to think about so I will consulting all of you who are parents on here as I haven't a clue!
Thanks Doodles - hope you are well. Are you off now after working the weekend?

Hi
CMD - Congratulations, that is great news. Sorry you have been feeling a bit rough, I was never sick with any of my 3 (although did eat something dodgy when I was 4 weeks pregnant with DD3 which made me sick but wasn't due to pregnancy). I remember we went mad buying stuff when we had DD1, bought one of those changing table/bath things that was only used once and a nappy wrapper that was never used, also a baby swing that we didn't use more than once as it went too fast and we lived in a one bed flat then with a dog so not ideal. I loved having all my scans.
Doodledoo - nice to see you back again. Hope you are settling into your new home OK.
Haven't been here for a few days, we are off to Lithuania on Thursday so am sorting out the clothes for myself and 3 little ones, went shopping today with them but am going back tomorrow morning to get the things I didn't get today as you can't do much with a 5 and 4 year old keeping touching things and running about and a 15 month old who doesn't want to sit in the pushchair.
Had to get baby her first cruising shoes today, there were 2 pairs in her size a nice pair that were £22 and a light pink pair that had a £10 sale sticker on the box, the £22 pair were a bit too tight so we had the £10 pair, when I went to pay they rang up at £18 and I said to the guy that it says £10 on the box and he said that if they should be back to £18 but if there was a sale sticker on the inside of the right shoe then we could have them for £10 so I took the shoe off and there was a big sale sticker saying £10 so got them cheap which I was happy about. Mind you my mum and dad are paying for them as they bought my eldest two their first shoes so at least I have saved £10 and my mum and dad have saved £8.
Anyway, got quite a few Paypal payments to print off and got to think about what else I need to take with me on holiday. So not sure when I will be back although will try so I can see CMD's scan picture.

i'm a bit annoyed today. dh's sister had her baby this morning and we had to find out through FB. they do my head in. they wouldn't even think 'oh let's let the family know first' it's more like 'family?? who are they??' they do my head in :mad:

i managed by drinking non alcoholic wine. i think it was from sains bu*ry's i think. it tasted like a sweet wine and you wouldn't have noticed there wasn't any alcohol in it really. plus the urge to look after the baby takes over.
i craved fizzy orange and it had to be from a certain fast food placeso everyday on his way home from work dh would have to go through the drive thru to buy me fizzy orange pop. no food though cos it made me sick just the pop :rotfl:the staff must have thought he was mad
