    Hi all

CAFCgirl Happy Birthday (before I forget - I'm bound to miss it otherwise LOL) and hope you get that money soon!

Still no news on last week's job. I have about 20 or so active job applications thought that I am waiting for them to shortlist on - I could become a professional candidate if they all come through at the same time! Apparently a lot of people are waiting for the new budget year of April before going ahead with jobs.... Hard waiting tho...

    Such a crock!

Good luck with the job hunt tho SH, something will come up real soon.
Thanks for the bday wishes, i've got a few days yet before my new year LOL so am making the most of them....

  • Bloody hell CAFC, are they mining the gold for the reserves before they pay???

Happy birthday from me too - I am hopeless at remembering these things so if I say it now I won't miss 16th.

If it is any consolation I am in a pants mood too - work is poo and I have PMT which makes it a whole load worse. Ho hum, am getting closer and closer to calling my old boss and begging.

(thanks for the well wishes CMD - I know it is probably just teething problems but I can't help obsessing and fantasising about not being there, they have got 3 (soon to be 4) of us with jobs that overlap hugely which is a bit difficult as we are assistant director level and the whole place is a shambles (but they are deluded and think they are high performing) - thankfully there are loads of really nice people there, it really is the only saving grace and I know I should give it time for the rest to follow)

I must stop moaning about it though or I will become the miserable cow that just drags everyone down (on here and at work) - am off to get a baileys to make it all feel better :D

Aww PAID hun, sorry its all a bit cr&p at work....

My boss is forever telling me we choose our state.
Lucky people aren't lucky by coincidence, they are lucky by choice (difficult to comprehend sometimes!)
but when i think to myself, im going to be happy today, and everything will go smoothly, 9 times out of 10 it does, and if it doesnt im better prepared mentally to deal with whatever spanner does get thrown into the works....

but then i come home and find ive still not got my money and then its deep breathing for an hour or so LOL

  • LOL - I can talk passionately about what my job should be, but then it comes down to it and it is so frustrating that I have the breathe deeply moments.

A couple of weeks ago I decided that I wouldn't let it get me down and that I would come back fighting. Hmmm, maybe when I get over the PMT it will all seem a little rosier.

My new mantra: I do love my job, I do love my job, I do love my job...

I have a violent veg desk calendar - and the caption for the week is "The best thing about Eddie's new job was the huge celery"..... as a potato in shirt and tie gazes adoringly at a tall celery stalk...

Still no news on new jobs or the huge celery - getting my best bonus ever tho!

    Hi Saving H,

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Yay, I made a payment to MBNA and I am now under 18k. Feels great but I have fallen off the bandwagon a bit and should have way more paid off. I need to rein myself in a bit more I think.
