  • Hi SavingH,

It sounds like you are being really pro-active and hopefully one of the 8 jobs will come up trumps for you. Are you feeling a bit more positive now?

Your Paper Hat signature/debt busting looks pretty healthy to me but I suppose it is all relative to what debt you have and want to get rid of.

Sounds like you're doing well on applications and fingers crossed a fab new job awaits you.

Got a POETS day today :j Love it when then happens. Had promised myself I do a bank check especially as I've not checked on my Natwest savings account since I opened it :o

Got a lovely weekend with nothing too busy or exotic planned. Everything crossed that the sun appears at some stage - its been gloomy, wet, cold and foggy here all year :rotfl:

Its gonna be ruddy hard work but yeah Im excited about the windows of opportunity im going to be presented with, such as going to Spain for the weekend to attend a seminar....

Im hoping being in the middle of nowhere will push me to take in lunches, spend my breaks relaxing, or reading, or doing something other than shopping...
Plus I hate going shopping on a saturday so I doubt i'll do much spending on a saturday.... so thats leaves me sundays and fridays...

Hi all just won anothe4 £10 on my favourite free bingo place, and converted some ipoints into Asda vouchers and got paid some expenses so my bank account can breathe a sigh of relief.

I've also worked out that I will get the equivalent of a month's pay when they give me my pension contributions back and my holiday pay... it all helps. Wondering whether to pay the pension refund off my mortgage though so it feels like it was more significant.... Don't know

CAFCgirl - please feel free to tell us a bit more about your new job on this thread as I struggle to find the relevant bit in your diary... lol

Well done SA you are doing really well.

What are the other options with the morning other than paying it off your mortgage? Have you got any interest accruing debts?

  • Howdy all

Am feeling a bit hyperactive and trying to avoid the cleaning - I feel a list of chores coming on...

I have worked out that if I can find an extra £6k this year I can completely clear my debts by 31st December!!!!

I reckon that if I were stricter with myself I could find an extra £100 per month for about 8 months of the year without making too many sacrifices (even after all this time I am spending far too much on drinking and eating out) so that knocks out a possible £800 of the total.

Now I just have to work out where I can find that extra £5200  off to nose through the up your income board.

Time to get cracking on working out how I can get a few days of contracting work this year to boost the coffers which should help to dent it a bit.

Afternoon PAID wow how fab would it feel to be debt free by the end of the year. A definate motivation to get your butt in gear.

I need to seriously increase my income if I stand a chance of getting my debts cleared this year. Maybe we need a challenge for that too lol
