think its more an organisational issue on my part....
problem is items are paid out before the months payment goes in, so ive always got to make sure ive got enough held back to pay the next months early ones if that makes sense?
Basically the payments go out, before the money comes in...Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

CAFCGirl - could you maybe get your DH to make your lunch when he does his own?
God only know whats I'd end up with if he did..... he doesnt so much "make" himself lunch as he throws a pot noddle, packet of crisps about 4 chocolate bars and yoghurt into his bag....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I am here to hang my head in shame. I have totally not been trying with this challenge but I certainly will be after xmas. I am having a period of being very down (not sure if I am suffering from SAD as I always seem to get down at the back end of the year and beginning of the next one).
Anyway, I have paid off more than is in my signiture but need to calculate how much before I change that. I am having to concentrate more on getting my college work done at the moment but hopefully I will still be able to reduce my debt at the same time.
I just wanted to say how well everyone else is doing. You are all such an inspiration. well done.0 -
Hi Lolo,
Good to see you on here. Try and pop in as it will keep your spirits up, it certainly does that for me when I am having a bad day!
My Dad suffers from SAd (not diagnosed) so I know how hard it is. I am glad I moved from Scotland to the sunny south east because I get to see the sun most days. It was very dull up there.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I am so angry. Sorry, this is a bit off topic but I have to rant somewhere. Once again our tenants haven't paid their rent on time (supposed to be due in the 4th/5th). This is the 3rd time since September and it is really starting to affect me.
We own a flat in Scotland (from when we lived there) and we rent down south, as we moved for OH for uni. We had it rented out for 8 months and there was never any problems. Then we rented it out to these people (don't know who they are as we have an agency) and they don't pay the rent on time. The worst thing is the agancy don't inform us when the rent isn't paid, as they say there are too many people on their books, so every month I check my account crossing my fingers to see if it has been paid in.
The 1st month when they didn't pay on time my OH contacted the agency and their attitude was, well you should really have 3 months rent in your account just in case. So now we have 1 month in their (just in case) but I;m afraid life doesn't work like that, I am the only one earning money so we don't have lots of money floating around.
I wouldn't even class us as wannabee BTL landlords, we just moved and didn't want to sell the flat as it wouldn't have made much money. What really maddens me is that I have rented on and off for a total of about 10 years and I have always paid my rent. I just have a feeling in the pit of my tummy that they are not going to pay this month. The first month they didn't pay we had charges of £400 because of direct debits not going through etc etc.
And the thing that really annoys me is that we did up our flat to a really high standard, and they are living it up there, while we are stuck in a flat down here that is nice but isn't to the standard we did ours. Ahhhhhhhhh!!! Sorry, everyone rant over. Just really worried today and mad at the agency too (although there is probably not much they can do either)Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I would be annoyed too. As I am sure you rely on that money to pay bills.
Is there anything in their contract regarding if they miss payments?
Hard to know what to do as I am sure looking for alternative tenents isn't as easy as it sounds especially when you are down here and they are up there.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
