Sorry to bump myself again, but I am wanting your ideas again, same thing, ie, footpassenger taking the train when I get to the otherside.

  • Norfolkline! Dover to Dunkerque, cheap not over full of tourists. Out of town but great for links.

Dunkerque and St Malo are far far better than Calais which is really cruddy in parts. Bruges is GORGEOUS. St Omer is nice, if you are going to Dieppe have you considered Honfleur?

Ieper/Ypres is ok, Lille is not worth the drive in my opinion.

One of the best bits about living in East Kent - the ease of European travel. If I could I'd go every week or two.

Oh and there is a Ramsgate to Ostend route as well now.

yes I also live in the South East of England so it's not difficult to get too, but it's hard deciding where to go! I went to St Omer in September last year and have been to Boulogne. yep, I'm not really fussed about Calais, I tend to just go through it.

No, I haven't considered Honfleur, I'd google it.
