i came back from costa teguise last week, loved it even though we were in the middle of a tropical storm (lanza's first ever).

Would defo go back but maybee in the summer months as the weather wasn't too great, still a nice wee wind blowing though.

We are off to Costa Teguise on Thursday (wish I knew about these offers before I booked - Oh Well!).

How did the handle the tropic storm? Were there any floods, sewage/drain problems etc?

BTW: Where did you stay and anything that you particularly recomend?

We have been a couple of times before, but ths will be the first time with a car, so we are looking to do a bit of exploring this time.

Are you sure it wasn't the second tropical storm? They had one first week of November when we were there - the first proper rain for 8 months as well!

There isn't any road drainage as they don't have rain, so yes, there was plenty of localised 'flooding' in low spots on the roads.

We stayed at the Barcelo Lanzarote, which was great. On the outskirts of Costa Teguise.
    British Ex-pat in British Columbia!
  • We stayed at the teguisol which is right at the end of CT.

Go to the teguise market on the sunday for a good browse and barter but seeing as your hiring a car i would reccomend you go early and get there before the million of buses of tourists.

Thr rancho texas park looks a good'un birds of pray shows, crocodile shows and parrot shows plus lots more http://www.ranchotexaslanzarote.com , you get fed and free drink but we had our 10month old with us so not practical.

Go to puerto del carmen to the submarine (plenty of flyers for it) wish i went on that now.

Plenty of bars etc in all scattered around just have a good nosey.

Loved the HIGHLANDER for a wee bevy and a karioke which wee billy starts at 10pm to 12pm which is a good laugh.

You have to go to the timanfaya national park truely breathtaking, and take lots of photos.

Hope you enjoy your holiday :xmassign:

Lynn it would have been better if you had started a new post for this not add it to one thats for Lazarote/Benidorm offers as it will get unnoticed here.
