    Most international students will for example be given these as they cannot really be traced to an address in the U.K.

    Yes I understand that, I had one when I was a student - it was even harder to use the thing then..

    Do they no longer have 'For Electronic Use Only' imprinted on the back now? This was the case before I went travelling. It is a shame they are not widely accepted, I am sure businesses miss out on quite a lot of revenue as a result.
