Called in Saturday to pick mine up in the Halifax store, presented printout given sticks, but wouldn't go thru till like others reported, assistant called manager, who withdrew sticks, and was adamant that I was not getting them, so told him where to put sticks and cameras. Caused a stir amongs those in hearing distance and left. Another offer will come round, faster and cheaper, I hope.
Principle is a funny thing, but he will be hearing from above soon.:snow_laugac's lovechild0 -

Maybe this should be a new a new thread - but if you are getting genuine HP cartridges for under a tenner then tell me more! What about HP no 57 - colour?
HP 57 reduced from in store price of £26.99 to £16.44. All HP geniune articles. I will take your advice and put it as a new post.0 -

Picked up webcams yesterday. Asked about the free memory sticks and was told the offer had been withdrawn due to "technical difficulties". Anyway, to cut a long story short, the manager (who incidentally was serving behind the counter) said he would honour the offer from last week and threw in 2 free 128mb usb memory keys...and I didn't even have to show him the screengrab I took!
What a nice guy :-)

I don't know what it is with some of the staff at PC world.
...you'd think they were defending their store from bankrupcy
They don't want to give anything away if they have to !
I'm willing to bet, those who were treated right will go back to the store....the others may not buy there for a while !

It's great reading through this thread and laughing at the incompetence of PC World staff, many a problem I've had with them. For a start the 2 webcams for £40 is a great deal. But making a mess of the webpage, and giving out 2 x free 128MB sticks to quite a few people (would cost near to £20 to buy!). Just makes me laugh. Then to top it all off I read that they are giving out the + models instead - stupid people! I'm tempted just to go and get the two webcams as it's still quite a good deal!0
