Beat you deleth, I bought four and they inadvertantly gave me three of the 'Plus' models. I (honestly) didn't notice until I got home or I would surely have mentioned it!0

I've just arranged to collect from the store tomorrow.
I havent paid yet as it says to pay at the store.
Can I expect some grief from them. The offer was for today only for the memory stick ???
Was the offer of BOGOF for one day only ? I can't see it anywhere ?

Kwaziewabbit wrote:Nice one Chris.....not only do you get another free webcam but you also get a 128mb USB Flash Memory Key as well. If you have ordered one make sure that you take a print of the offer page as the USB key will not show up on the order.
How do you know that the "USB Key" mentioned in the PC World offer is specifically a 128 mb Flash Memory Key? I have ordered this deal for pick up tomorrow and would like to have all the information to hand.0 -
deleth wrote:Thanks for the heads up, just picked mine up from Chester and fortunately had a screen grab before checkout showing the free flash drive. Staff wouldn't give it me because I didn't have a newspaper voucher showing free flash drive until I showed them the screen grab.
Also they gave me one Logitech Plus model by mistake, bonus!!
What is a "Logitech Plus" model please and why is it better than the advertised one?0 -
The only difference I spotted on the outside of the box was that the plus model had a headset, there both at work at the moment so hard to tell0

The BOGOF webcam is a Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX Plus, current Argos price is £49.99 for one. Comes complete with a stereo headset & mic. So 2 for £39.99 is a bargain. Collected my pair Thursday and also got a free 128MB USB flash drive, had to ask and show screen grab to get the flash drive though. I think the free flash drive was only valid on Thursday.

I pre ordered my 2 x webcams for store collection, but did not take the screen grab pic. So they initially would not give me the usb key. I told them to visit their own website and see, which they did.
They then read the terms which state free usb key with webcam, therefore i argued that just because the 2nd webcam is free i still should be entitled to 2 x free usb keys, 1 per webcam.
So i walked out of the store with 2 x webcams and 2 x 128 mb usb keys for £39; store personnel couldn't believe it and kept stating what a bargain that offer was!!!
Thanks to the original OP.0 -
The stx plus pack is one stx cam with a combined "behind the ears" style headset and mic. It's the same cam.
Yes I got two of these instore instead of the standard one because they didn't have the standard ones in stock.
You can reserve these and collect in store.
It's a steal these are really good cams and have collected all the good reviews in computer mags.
By the way - these webcams are actually too good - they catch all your flaws LOL. Much better than any other 640*480 60fps equivalent brand. 2 for £40 with a USB key is a steal.
I know what I'm talking about I run a web design business.
Thank me for this post if it helped you decide.0 -
.........an even better deal, Asda have the sony Eye toy Groove at £9.99
makes an EXCELLENT webcam, it plugs into a standard USB port :-), some timkering with drivers needed but thats easymoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
