hi
i went to my tribunal yesterday but they didnt tell me the decision. is this good or bad news.
has anyone had this happen then had good news?
i only went for the mobility componant which i feel i should get as have a blue badge which states to get one that you should a) recieve dla high rate allready, b) sight difficulties or c) be so impaired that your disability matches the criteria for high rate dla or falls not far off.
when i stated this though the lawer looked not impressed and said it didnt necessary work like that
thanks in advance

Hello Pink - I'm finding your message a bit hard to understand - are you saying you think you should get DLA as you need a Blue Badge?0

Hi Jo - Are you in receipt of DLA now, or was this the first claim? I think the normal time they have to reply following a tribunal is 6 weeks? If not someone will put me right.0

hi
yes this is my first claim for DLA which i was pushed by the health visitor & social services to apply for, i was turned down for any rate at all so went to the tribunal appeal yesterday. i did have a represenative but he couldnt make it so dont know if that has blown my chances now.
my claim has been going on since January so quite a long time now!***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0 -
I think you will just have to wait and see....0

Usually they give the decision on the day. From the people I have read about who were posted the opinion the result has always been a fail, but that does not mean it will necessarily be the case for you.0

The OP is talking about an appeal for benefit where she has attended a tribunal not a medical.0 -
I don't know whether it's changed but when I went to tribunal a few years ago I was told on the day. If I remember correctly, after asking questions an I gave my account, they asked me to leave the room for a while. They asked me back in an I was told their decision an I was later sent it in writing.0
