HELP! I think I am being scammed by a GREEK buyer

I sold a computer game on ebay in mint condition, still in cellophane etc. Posted in bubble wrap, inside a padded envelope and the guy has messaged me saying he wants a refund because the game was poorly packed and opened in most p[arts. THis is bull because the item was a game in a box and the packaging was so secure that I do not believe it could have been damaged in any way, shape or form. I sent it royal mail post.
Looking at his items, he buys and sells many games, so I think he had opened it, copied and then beat it up. He refuses to send me a pic of the item - he is just demanding I give him my address to return the item.
I do not want to do this because I think he is scamming me. Ive also misplaced the receipt for posting.
What are my rights as a seller, because everything on ebay seems very pro the buyer and against the seller.

did you send it by recorded delivery?
did he pay by paypal?
if he paid by paypal and you didnt use recorded delivery he could start a pay dispute and will win, regardless of whether you have a receipt of posting or not.
do you have a picture of the game before sending it - keep this as evidence for paypal shoul dhe raise a dispute
at the moment he is asking for your address to return the item, so give it to him freely.
you can state to him that if he does, any refund will be minus postage and packaging costs, plus you wont be refunding the cost of him returning the game to you
keep all emails you send to him civil.... ie no swearing or cursing - as this would go against you in any dispute
im sure others will come along soon and add additional commentssmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

No, I sent it normal Royal Mail to Greece. I have a picture of it - it was in perfect condition.
UPDATE: I found the receipt for posting, will Royal Mail even refund me?

No, item being damaged in post.....0

but the buyers saying the item wasnt sufficiently packaged
thus the item wasnt 'damaged' in the post
either way you need the item back dont youCan I claim compensation for missing or damaged items?
Yes. All Airmail is covered by up to £36 compensation if the letter is lost or damaged and it's our fault. You cannot claim for items of value, unless they are sent by Airsure or International Signed For. Consequential Loss - compensation for any financial consequences of any damage or loss to items of mail - is not available. If your item is valuable, you can buy extra compensation of up to £250 or £500, depending on the destination. This additional compensation is only available when you use Airsure or International Signed For.0 -
The item was very secure packed though, thats why I think hes scamming me. I do not want to refund him and I don't really want the item back which is why I am asking for advice on my best course of action...?0

He has messaged me back again saying that the game was "destroyed" and that the packaging was very very poor. He is lying through his teeth because the packaging was a padded envelope and then bubblewrap around the game. The game was inside a box, with a book that was shrink wrapped. I do not want to lose £45 because of this persons dishonesty - he says he will open up a dispute but everywhere I look tells me the seller is not protected against this kind of scam and that the buyer will always win... what am I to do?0

Unfortunately you are right in a way because of the value of the item you have to send the item with an insured traceable service, well that’s PayPal’s rules anyway, if he opens a dispute you will most likely loose it as its your word against his. You need to get him to return the item.
