  • I'm just about to phone and close a Halifax credit card which I've had since 2002. The balance of which was over £11,000 :eek: The balance is now zero and it's being closed in the next 5 minutes (subject to those idiotic buffoons who answer the phones actually closing the account and not doing what they usually do which is keep it open in the hope that I will run up more debt - and profit - for them).

    Only another wee thing today in that I went to buy lemsips in Superdrug for £3.70 but then had a brainwave that they would be cheaper in the pound shop - walked another 20 ft and saved £1.70 :T
    Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • Hello......glad you are okay sophiesmum! Andan i think that is your longest list ever!!! Well my day has not in the end been that productive, have just got though the 2 journal articles i wanted to read. turns out nothing in them, total waste of time for my little brain and the essay i have to write.

    But i did write all out my student loan plan, just got to stick to it! And i am now working xmas day and boxing day overtime. It is to give a bloke off the day so he can have it with his kids so my good deed. Hope good karma comes from that!

    Pinquent oh dear my spellings today! I really hope things come good for you, its a nervous time these days, i feel sorry for all.

    Luckyily i did manage a no spend day today guys. I hope i can tomo too. I found some juice in the cupboards so wont buy anymore of that. And plenty in my locker for dinner tomo

    today i have walked to work and back - saving bus fare.
    took lunch to work - forgot my apple so had to buy one!
    and i am having leftover veggie pie for tea.

    Checked my bank balance in town, payday today!
    Might move some money between accounts tonight if I can be bothered.
    Had pan of stew for tea, which I made yesterday & DS had some for his dinner.

    My dfw things for today;
    • Got 3 x packs of coffee pods (1 box was damaged and reduced), 1 x bag of bramley? cooking apples 25p, 2 x tubs of extra special mortzarella 29p each, 3 x 3 pks organic raisins and 1 x 2ltr smart price sparkling water (paid 17p after 3 x free coffee pods coupons)
    • Dinner at my parents
    • Cut out coupons and put away in my purse
    • Printed off 2 for 1 voucher for Ask restaurant
    • Registered with Wagamama for offers
    • Registered with Chiquito for offers
    • Registered with Nandos for offers
    • Did a few mutualpoints e-mail click throughs
    • Picked 5 photos to develop for free at Kodak machine at Boots (used voucher)
    That’s all I can think of

    *Brought t'shirt for xmas pressie for godson £2.50 from sainsburys, bargain!
    *Sold book on amazon
    *sold an unwanted item at work for £5!

    Thats all I can think of for now, soo tired!
