  • Hello all - been around later as days kinda gone to pot. Started badly and has't really gone to plan!!

    DFW things today:

Reduced price bread out of freezer for impending 2 pals of DD coming for tea
Homemade soup and bread and bits for tea - enough to feed 8 of us!!
Out with kids today, heads not in work so took a day off (after early job)
Dogs for a long blustery walk along the headland looking out to Hoy (Lost two tennis balls - whoops - we like to think we set them free rather than lose them)
    Lunch out (pal paid half)
DD bought some wool to knit some xmas pressies with :)
    Washing on line
Charged mobile whilst breifly at work
Cats eating catfud earned by looking after neighbours cat.

Am composing letter to bank, never mind the fiasco with the overpayment - taken back of account they have just charged me £70 for honouring two swtich transactions under 30quid when they put me in illegal overdraft _ thusfar I will be charged - 70+28+28 again cos their charge put my overdraft over its limit again - am blinking annoyed, they say they cant help so am about to write a letter and argue my case, seriously thinking about closing the account (but i live in my od) and I would need to pay back 1000 to clear it. argh am really cross

Hey Piq rubbish to hear about having to fight your corner at worrk
Birthday girls - I will send you both some virtual stripey socks to keep the morale up
Hoping everyone else is good, wasn't Sophiesmum going on hols soon??? Maybe she's away??

Trying to be in a good mood when the bank have made me so fizzying am struggling, I haven't been over my limit in such a long time thanks to you guys (:)) - hangs head and acts like a teenager **ITS SO UNFAIR**

  • Oh yeah i lost some tups today (rams) I think they burrow to be honest, like in the great escape and only I nearly caught them today..............how can a girl lose 3 tups??

Answer is the farm manager sold them and the folk picked them up early - I phoned him 'sooth' in Inverness - he was chuckling.

I prefer the notion of them tunnelling out personally, shows initiative - any old sheep can get in a trailer............

    Hi, hope sophiesmum is ok.
I had a friend phone this morning wanting t come round, she has been through a real bad time lately. I feels so unwell but managed to meet her in town for a coffee before we came back here, I have just taken her to the station. She had no where else to turn. I am now going to enjoy not having LO with me and take a much needed sleep. Will report back later on what money saving I have done.
  • Piq I will of course be knitting my virtual birthday girls stripey socks from rattled down jumpers in true old styleeeeeeeeey fashion

At this rate Fay you won't have any animals left! Either that, or they'll be suitably qualified to join the cast of Mission Impossible....:rotfl:

  • I like to think of it more like using my initiative rather than incompetence - I mean I am saving them money by slowly releasing the animals!! Excellent money saving............they dont need to spend so much on food for them :)

Farm due to close down at end of month and I be out of 'my job before my proper job' pity really cos i do like it.

Good way of looking at it! What is the proper job doing? I have to say I'd also prefer the "hunt the farm animal" job too.
