HI everyone!
There doesn't appear to be one of these threads today so I thought I's start one. I hope Sophiesmum and Andan are ok.
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Afternoon All :hello:
Feels kinda naughty to be doing this without the grownups present :rotfl: (little things please me) And I hope Andan and Sophiesmum's absence is for nice reasons.
KT Jazz, your bf's play? Is he starring in it, or did he write it? Is it AmDram or is he (gulp) professional?
I'm only being nosey cos AmDram entertains me (on stage, backstage & watching). And today I have submitted a play for publication
Piq, I have everything crossed for you. Hope the news is good for you.
As for me, today I have/will:- lunch with friend cancelled due to short staff here
but I still have to buy something, only it will cost less.
- storecupboard supper
- sent play in for publication - one day I may get 4p in royalties
- sis visiting aged P's this weekend, so no petrol to buy :j and I can get a move on in the garden with Mumof4's schedule. Homegrown veg next year?
- Phoned Cap 1 and they removed a £12 late fee :j when I explained not being able to do my banking. And I've set up the DD I thought was already set up
- going to the gym again tonight for free.
- sent an e-mail re a slight problem with an MS report, awaiting their reply
- will phone bank -WHERE IS MY CARD?
