Have been looking around & this seems like a good car/deal - decent level of equipment, 11k, 0% interest for 3 years and 70mpg.

I only want a small car, have a Polo at the mo and the economy on the Seat is 2nd to none, which is v important to me as I do around 21,000 a year, 3/4 of which not reimbursed.

2 questions:
1. Does anyone have experience of owning a Seat, particularly one similar to this?
2. Any idea of price flexibility? (Or does anyone know when their month or 1/4 ends;)?)

(3rd question - Martin, if you're reading this would you like to negotiate for me please :o)

Thanks all.

    dont fall for 70mpg

Really? This is the combined figure quoted. I don't want to sound naive - I know they are compiled over v short distances. As all are doing the same method I would have thought it was reasonably accurate, at least in as much as 'this one's much better than that one'. My VW actually slightly exceeds the combined figure.

My sons a mechanic and he is looking at the Seat Ibiza.I had a Seat a few years ago.Good car.Not the same model as the one you are looking at but was happy with it. Think if buying new at the present time shop, around You might get a good deal.

We've got a Seat Ibiza 2006 reference & a Skoda Fabia. Essentially the same car.

The Seats a lot smaller inside due to the external styling. I'm 6 foot & headroom is a problem. Otherwise, the Seat just feels a bit cheaper & nastier than the Skoda.

Both cars are approx 2-3 years old & no technical problems whatsoever. The skodas got much better mpg, but thts mostly driving in town, compared to motorway for the skoda.

Is this the new model Ibiza that has just been launched or the old one?

I am guessing from a quick look on the seat website it is the old model Sportrider 1.4Tdi 80ps at £10995RRP. or maybe the Ecomotiv

If you go for it you should be getting a nice juicy discount as the new model is meant to be a lot better and will hit the values straight away.

I had an Ibiza for a week as a hire car for work once and the main downer for me was the dashboard styling. I did a few thousand miles and hated it.

21,000 miles would do my head in.

I was previously a fan of the model with its hot hatches but had not seen the inside of them.

THIS ONE - the old one which seems to have better mpg than new one which is more sporty  . Crikey, Perry's is 1k cheaper than I've seen, and that's without even negotiating - plus there's an outlet less than 10 miles from work :T . Thanks!

That's ok, we can split the difference. ;)

I only did a quick search and clicked on one link so there will probably be even better deals ready to be unearthed.
