I've sold about 20 items over the last 2 weeks and only received feedback from 2 of those buyers. Is everyone too busy with Christmas to leave feedback?
Waddle you do eh?

I've never done that. Maybe I'm just weird, but it always seems kind of rude to me, almost like your begging for approval or something, but as always YMMV. :xmassmile0 -

They might leave a neg along the lines of heres your feedback.

if i get sent a reminder i will not leave a feedback.
i normally do my feedback when i get the item but sometimes i have forgot to do it for a few days.0 -
If a seller doesn't leave feedback first it seems buyers don't leave it at all. I used to leave feedback as soon as an item was paid for, but recently changed to leaving only some feedback immediately, but for overseas or difficult buyers waiting for the buyer to leave feedback first.
That has seriously reduced the amount of feedback that I get, if I leave feedback first I get virtually 100% left in return, if i delay leaving feedback that appears to drop to less than 50%.
Also never ever remind buyers about leaving you feedback, you might not like what you get.

I am the complete opposite. I used to leave feedback immediately when payment was received but i found that some buyers didnt feel the need to give me some feedback in return. It started happening quite a lot so i now only leave feedback when i have receieved. After all the transaction is not complete until the buyer receives their goods and are happy with them. Now more people leave me feedback (i have it stated in my listings now). I once had an email saying, i have your item and i have left you feedback can you leave me feedback please. It was worded slightly differently and i did find it quite cheeky as i log on every few hours so if someone leaves me feedback then i leave theirs then. Sometimes people just dont have the patienceA banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.0

I have found the best policy is to leave feedback for most things either as soon as I receive an item or as soon as the buyer pays. I am still well over 1000 with a 100% record. I feel that I am able to take the initiative and hope the other party will respond accordingly.
Twice though it has stuck in my mind that my buyers should have at least reciprocated. 1st was a set of speakers that went for next to nothing and because I had underestimated postage it cost me in the end. Then there was the pc I delivered 30 miles away for £26, set it up and showed it working, both ended up with nothing.
All in all I just mark as paid, mark as sent, leave feedback then delete record.0 -
I Always send a reminder, I use selling manager, and every now and again just go thru the list and send about 20-30 reminders in one go, most people do leave feedback!, honestly, go for it, it's not cheeky, a LOT of people just forget and wont mind being reminded every now and again :-)money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

I have noticed that I have received less feedback lately from both buyers and sellers. I expect everyone is busy panicking about Christmas.
If I haven't received feedback from a buyer I just send them an email saying, "Can you let me know if the item arrived safely - thanks". It's not the feedback I'm desperate for, I just want to know whether the item has arrived. Nothing worse than a buyer suddenly contacting you weeks after an auction ends to tell you something hasn't arrived. Half an hour of scrabbling through post office receipts is not my idea of fun!0
