Sony v's Nokia

Getting new contract this week and have been looking at the Nokia N70, which looks very good. Just looked through brochure from Vodafone and saw that there is a Sony Ericsson W900i out. Just wondering which you thought was better.

its an old one the nokia vs ericsson. before i had my old t610 i would have sworn nokia every time, but after having 2 nokias within a year and 3 ericssons, i would have to say the ericssons offer better value for money and better features. nokias appear more solidly built but i do think the price for some of the nokias is vastly inflated and seems to be so due to the name and design. if it was me and the two phones had the same spec and providing there arent any well known flaws in the firmware i would definitely go for the sony, just my opinion.

want a w900 myself, they are not out yet though. Vodafone said any day now. But Carphonewarehouse and the Link both said it wasn't on their computers yet, so it is more likely sometime towards the end of ther month

Horses for courses I would say. Each one has their fans and people who hate them.

I've had both Nokias and SE's, however more recently I've stuck to the SE route, because they are not the biggest.

Yeah I saw on the website after I posted my message, when I asked on tuesday in a vodafone shop they didn't have it, so it must only have been today or yesterday it arrived

Ive had bitter experience with nokia 6230i, but never had any problems with sony ericsson T630. I'm of the opinion that sony's are more robust too.
