Make sure her mobile phone is unlocked so she can buy a new SIM card out there. I bought one from Vodafone in Melbourne for Au $ 9.95 (about £4). VERY USEFUL.0

You didn't say how old?
If she is 18-30 and has time to get it sorted, I would recommend the BUNAC organisation. My son did this for 15 months last/this year and had a great time. It's very flexible and they can go their own way when they get settled.
BUNAC are always there, though, if they want help.

What about medical insurance - of course you hope its something she won't need to use, but if she got toothache or something at least her bills would be covered?0

That is something I thought of, I doubt if she's got around to thinking of that.
Its useful and practical and doesn't need to be fitted into a rucksack! :beer:0 -
