I would be greatful for any advice:D.
My DiL has been on the BT Total package since June 2003.
She has just tried to get the MAC code so she can move to Sky.
The person she spoke to at BT says she has a 12 month rolling contract, and that she was contacted in June this year and agreed to renew the contract.
My DiL doesn't remember this, only a courtesy call asking if she was happy with the service. Even then she's not sure how long ago the call was.
The person from BT insisted that she had agreed to the new contract and says they will bring up the phonecall from their record.
My advice was tell them to do so then. Unfortunately dear DiL is not very confident and tends to stammer when under stress.
Does anyone know where she stands. She doesn't want to cancel her phone just the internet.
Thanks

BT don't have 12 month rolling contracts for broadband so what the advisor told you is wrong. It sound like the outbound sales team that call customers to recontract have renewed for 12 months (probably gave a £2 discount) without telling you. These calls are not recorded so they wont be able to listen to the call.0

no problem here to help. but do ask if theres a discount she can have for being a loyal customer to bt £9.49 is the current offer.
i think she deserves it after this. im sorry you have had problems. seems a shame to lose a customer over something so simple.0
