Hi,
I know it's one more story in a long list of Ryanair victims, but if somebody would advise me in that case I would really appreciate it.
On 25th of Sept. this year I made a booking on my flight to Riga from Stansted, departure 20 Oct. paying 78.84 pounds. Eveything was going smoothly until the moment of displaying final page of my booking confirmation. It didn't turn up. Instead I read information of some problems which unfortunatelly I can't really recall. But certainly, there wasn't anything confirming my booking made and the payment been sent from my account. I also haven't recived any e-mail with confirmation of my booking.
Two days later, knowing some rumours of Ryanair booking system problems and assuming there wasn't any ticket bought and money transfered I made another booking for a flight to Riga with one day different departure and return date. This time it cost 46 pounds and everything seemed to be fine except for the fact I haven't received any confirmatono e-mail. Again. But as long as I had my ticket printed I didn't care about that.
So, today I've learnt from my bank statement that they charged me twice for both bookings. Couple of calls to their customer service an circa 18 quid later I managed to achive only an offer of canceling the second booking owing to the fact that second booking was cheaper, dates different, so theoretically I could choose the cheaper option. Moreover consultant claimed there was an e-malil with first booking confirmation sent to me, quoting an excact time of sending it. (It was't long time ago, so I remember not receiving any ryanair e-mails).
Colud some of you advise me how my chances of claiming the money back are standing and what shall I do to get my money back, please?
How can I refer to their booking system problems. Does any of you heard anything about it?
I bet there must be some office dealing with unfair airlines and protecting coustomet rights.
The money I lost isn't huge but I simply can't give it up on so early stage.
Thanks for any help
