Apologies m4 - just want to add my bit, then will shut up!:D
Milliemonster - completely agree with you!
Dalip - thanks for being honest, I agree with you too, we do have to take responsibility for our actions
. My problem with CJ is that he was rude, condescending and made sweeping generalisations without appearing to consider the distress some people reading this board are in.
He has a point, but so does everyone else who posts here. And we're not all quite so blunt in putting them forward. (Hang on, did I just create a blunt point??)
Off to find a pencil sharpener ...

milliemonster,
Your post is full of contradiction. You admit to irresponsible spending and then go on to give the impression that your debt is through essentials such as a mortgage. Your list of credit card debts would indicate otherwise.
As far as losing your job ( i hope you don't ) goes you should have considered that possibility before getting in to the debt. If the sh*t had to happen then it is still your sh*t as you had control of he debt.
This has been sent to me by CJ via a pm
CJ, can I just say, please don't send me pm's of this nature, please post on the open forum if you have an opinion
And just to put the record straight, my debts have no relation whatsoever to my mortgage, I am sorry if I gave that impression in my post, what I was trying to imply was that a mortgage is a debt but would you suggest taking a mortgage is irresponsible when you consider the consequences of how to pay for it should you lose your job?????
My debts have accrued not through essentials, I am happy to admit that, but what I said was many peoples debts do accrue through essentials when they find themselves in difficult circumstances, something you seem to have failed to graspAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
