Hey everyone,
I recently got a letter from Virgin (as I use their TV services) that my prices can be dramatically reduced to around £40 a month for TV, Broadband & Phone if I use them for all 3.
At the moment I use a BT phoneline, Toucan Broadband and Virgin TV which comes up to roughly a £100 a month. £50 for the XL and Sports package on Virgin TV, around £33 for BT and £16 for Toucan.
I rang up Virgin and they suggested if I choose upto 10Mb Broadband, Virgin XL & Sports Package TV and their Phone Service with evenings & weekend calls free - I would pay around £64 a month for everything.
However im not fully convinced as it sounds too good to be true and im worried there might be a catch - what do you all suggest - are Virgin good value for money?
many thanks

We have the same package from virgin, there are no other catches, it all depends what current phone package you have with BT and when the majority of your calls are made0 -

Interesting...I guess evenings and weekends have more predominance but i'll still check with the family - any other opinions guys?0 -
Well Virgin Broadband is due for a speed boost if you're lucky to be in the right area. I think I'd be having a punt at that as I currently pay £10.50 to BT (only free weekend calls), £38 to Sky and £19 to ADSL24.0

Virgin rang me up yesterday about 3 for £20 off as i only had internet with them at £18 a month, they offered me phoneline, virgin+ and internet for £20. I told her i`d think about it , they`ve just rung me back and i told them i could`nt afford the £30 installation fee and was thinking of moving isp to cheaper one.Upshot is, they`ve waived the £30 fee and i`m getting the phoneline & virgin+ put in in bedroom next week for free.
I have sky+ downstairs.
I`m very happy about that.0 -
thing is with virgin is they do really rip you off if you use the phone outside of any paid for times , and i mean really rip you off
If you can have all three and use a call provider (first telecom or similar) then yes i recommend the three package , their Broadband never seems to have any problems (touch wood)0 -

Hi sorry but i don't get it , does it mean there call charges are high?
Oh yeah , does anyone know if ... when you get a phoneline out with them , do you get an ordinary number begining in 01, 02 or 03?
Also , can you ring 0800's free from there line?
Thanks:dance: I am great , yes I am

you should be fine then, im not sure if it applies to weekends thought but you need to make sure you spend less than 1 hour on 1 single call otherwise you would get charged but you just hang up then call again0
