Virgins phone call charge tariffs and packages are broadly similar to BT. The same services are available as well i.e. call minder (answerfone) but you only get something like 6 rings before call minder kicks in (you can have more but that costs extra), 1471, 1571 etc. You can keep your existing BT number if you want (called porting). When you get connected Virgin will provide you with documents etc explaining the services.

Thanks for your answer in regard to my question ,

So can anyone find a fault with the 3 for £20 deal?

Also , i know you have to go through a credit check so can a person with poor credit pass and be accepted?

hmmm seems like there's alot to take into account with the phone line aspect of the deal - I would rather keep my existing BT number as it would save ALOT of hassle.

What I would ideally like with a Virgin phoneline is the 1571, 1471 etc. services - but how much extra do I have to pay for that?
Also, I spoke to Virgin today - 0800 calls are free on their lines aswell :)

Their calling feature charges and call charges can be found here:
    http://allyours.virginmedia.com/pdf/001426%20Residential%20phonebook.pdf?oct08

Their inclusive (not free) call bundles are expensive compared to other suppliers.
Their 0845/0870 charges cost an arm and a leg.
You can use http://www.18185.co.uk/mobilerates.php via their 020 or 0800 access number to cut your phone bills. (Charges differ to normal 18185 access).

£65 cashback on Virgin Media Cable available via www.cashbackkings.com

Depends what they give you for 3 for £20 and how long reduced price is for.
