My O/H has given me a job !!!

He's got a Sony Ericsson K800i phone and needs a headset thing so he can take and make calls in the car - he needs it by Friday. I looked on '3' and they've got a bewildering choice with all the cheaper ones out of stock, but tbh I'm not really sure what i'm doing - with that many 'bluetooth headsets' they surely can't all be doing the same thing ? Equally I looked on ebay - they are a lot cheaper but they all seemed to be talking about listening to music in the car with the ability to take calls.

He just needs a basic thingee to make and take calls in the car that works with his Sony Ericsson K800i but unfortunately he's asked a mobile numpty (me) to sort it out.

    Hi Somerset,
I'd recommend going to The Link or CPW, or a 3 shop, and asking for advice. The bluetooth headset does not have to be Sony - I had a perfectly good Plantronics Explorer headset which worked like a dream.
I'd recommend a headset with a hook that goes over the ear, as if you get one that just 'plugs in' to the ear, it may fall out during the call.
Most have one button for answering /disconnecting a call, and either the same or one more button for adjusting volume. Good luck.
Cost should be fairly cheap, btw - £20 for a serviceable headset?
    Have a look here.
