Yeah OK clever clogs, but have you seen the price of gold recently. Tanking mate. Page 12 in the Argos catalogue, 9 carat nipple ring, plus a zirconium diddler - less than half price.
Gold is actually holding up remarkably well even as other commodities are plunging - which is downright scary. It's an insurance policy that you definitely don't want to have to call upon.
I think concerns are starting to emerge about the implications of these bailouts. A lot of people are questioning if the money which the governments are going to have to end up borrowing to cover the obligations they have taken on is actually going to be raised from market investors or will in fact end up being composed of freshly printed cash.....
No-one disputes that the deleveraging effect now taking place will be deflationary ... but the bigger the 'shocks to the system' the greater the chance that the governments will hit the big red 'print' button on the presses to get them out of the mess.--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -

Sorry, but what are 'ninjas-of-colour'? What does that mean?A Ninja Loan is a type of subprime loan issued to borrowers with No Income, No Job, (and) no Assets. The phrase was coined by HCL Finance as a name for one of their finance products. They were especially prominent during the United States housing bubble of the 2000s but have gained wider notoriety due to the subprime mortgage crisis in July/August 2007 as a prime example of poor lending practices.

It's also widely accepted that most ninja loan holders are black.0 -

This is the type of lending that really shocked me the most, and I cannot understand why people from the broker up are not being prosecuted. The people who took out these mortgages, were never ever supposed to have mortgages, their parents wouldn't have had one, their grandparents wouldn't have had one etc etc. Some of them would have been so proud to to be the first "homeowners" in the family, and these people preyed on their emotions. It is criminal, and they did it to make a quick buck, knowing fine well that the person had not a cat in hell chance of paying after the original interest offer expired. The broker didn't care, he got his commision and salesman of the week award, the company didn't care, they just bungled them all up and sold them to other greedy people. Why are these people not being prosecuted, there must be paperwork with the brokers name on it, freeze his assets, and even if a jail sentence is not worthwhile, turn the broker into a NINJA.Debt free.
