Am I right in thinking that this offer is only for AMAZON items, not from other people who sell via Amazon? I wanted two books but they are from different businesses and the p and p is coming up at silly prices. The same book is on offer with Amazon but its almost double the price of the other sellers, so even with free postage its a bit of a swizz.

It might sound like I am a bit dense but I havent bought from Amazon before so I'm not sure.

    Yes you are right. Sorry.
Amazon Market place charges I think £2.75 per book order.

Cheers OP :) But I'm actually struggling to buy anything, (I'm trying to buy some AAA rechargeable batteries for my headtorch) cos I can't actually find any that are sold by Amazon???! When you go into the product page, it says they're sold by 3rd parties, so not included in the offer! Is there a way to only see the stuff that Amazon sells in the search results? This is really frustrating me :(

Ah, ignore me, I see the option on the left to narrow the selection by shipping method /seller :)

Glad to see they've finally reduced their limit! Must say though I checked out play.com for some items that were out of stock on Amazon and they were cheaper on play.com and free delivery on all orders (some great £2.99 DVD's I'm going to snap up for Christmas)!

Sometimes you click on 'can be shipped in one business day' as an option on the left which leaves you with mostly Amazon items and sometimes the option to narrow search to Amazon only is there - for some reason the options aren't always there.

Brilliant, but don't forget to check Amazon's prices on the books themselves - they're often not the cheapest. Two I've checked this morning are cheaper elsewhere, incuding delivery.

The easiest way I've found to check is to enter the book title in bookbrain.co.uk and it gives you a list of retailers and prices, with book price and postage price as well as the total. bookdepository.co.uk , for example, is free postage anywhere in the world and the books are pretty cheap too.
