Hi guys
im forever on the search for cheaper milk as my son and husband drink 6 pints plus per day between them!! honest, my son does'nt really drink juice or pop much and has always drunk between 4 and 6 pints per day on his own bless him, he's nearly six now and im not complaining as i think pop is loaded with crap anyway, but add that to the couple of pints hubby drinks because he does'nt drink tea or coffee etc and then add a couple of pints for cereals and hot drinks for myself and my elder daughter and we have to buy 8 pints per day at least, nightmare price wise i can tell you.
All the supermarkets do the £1 milk offers for a short while but ive been paying between 93p and 97p for a 4 pint bottle for a while now from a local asian run minimart, we worked out by getting it from there we saved an average of £40 per month which is crazy but true.
So, check out your small local business shops, mini markets etc and see if there is one near you especially if like us you use a lot of milk, also the fruit and veg stall in my local market sells the 4 pint bottles of semi skimmed for £1.
Thanks for the freezing milk tip too as i was'nt aware of that, does anyone know how long its viable to freeze it for before it affects the quality/taste?
thanks
kind regards

Good tip about local shops - ours was selling 2 litres for 99p for months.
If you freeze milk I'd advise using it within 1 month but if you've got a decent freezer you can leave it for up to 3 months.
Make sure you allow it to properly defrost before you use it though - this can take 24 hours.
Once defrosted use within 3 days.0 -
Can you use the baby's milk token's for the milk in farmfoods ?0
