fair enough, no need to snap.
I just noticed the bit where you say the dogs are getting complete food too, if they werent then their diet could have major defiencies ( calcium;phosprous trace elements etc )
Also to add, Tuna should not be fed more than 2 x per month, as it has potentially dangerous levels of Mercury in it.0 -
A colleague told me last week that her friend goes to the butchers and buys chicken carcasses (raw) and feeds these alone to her dogs and they're very healthy
This sounds bizarre to me0 -

Costs £50.00 a bag but is on offer (as said above) so bought 3 bags which will last until April. I was concerned about the dry food because she snubbed Bakers last time i tried her on dry food but she's eating it (cos i think she thinks its just her mixer with tinned food atm). We're increasing it as advised by Hills over 7 days. It comes with a satisfaction gtee so if she doesnt eat it, and hasn't for a few days i can take the bags back (including the open one) and get a refund.
if it wasnt for this thread i wouldn't have known the crap quality of tinned food and she would've been on that diet forever so thanks
It's great that your are putting her a good diet, I must say I cringed when I saw your first post about feeding her bakers AND pedigree! both of those are absolute muck and can cause hyperactivity, skin allergies etc and with all the colours etc. in them they probably contribute to cancer. a dog I knew that was fed on pedigree and nothing else got cancer a twice and ended up having to be put down as he was also crippled with arthritis and his flatulence was unbelievable. Burns is a good quality diet and you can mix in some fresh meat or tinned fish for extra flavour as sometimes the best foods can be a little bland.
My dog won't eat dry food so she gets naturediet which is natural moist food, at least 60% meat content and the rest is vegetables and rice etc. It's only around £1.50 a packet and there is enough in 1 packet for 2 to 3 meals for a small dog or 1 to 2 meals for a larger dog if you mix a little fresh meat in with it.money earned online so far:

Sounds like she'd got her dog on the Bones and Raw Food Diet, which sounds very much like dogs would choose to eat in the wild to me.
There's a bit on the theory here:

If I had my own I'd feed it on bones and raw food.0 -

We have 7 dogs (yes we are mad) and have tried most foods on the market at some time or other.
So for ease we now feed Autarky (yes they do a whole range puppy, working(both VAT free) and senior)- gluten free, great for sensitive tummies, nice small parcels out of the other end. Bones we can get for nothing from the market - they go straight into the freezer, as do chicken wings that are reduced. Any leftover veg, apple cores and bananas seem to be a favourite! Nashi pears are also good.
I would echo what has been said about Bakers, pedigree and definately chappie, its made to appeal to the owner not the dog. Cost is not neccessarily a guideline - just think how much goes on advertising and breeder programmes!Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -
