Vauxhall - Ridiculous!!!!

 I'm so annoyed, I just need to vent.

Bought a brand new Vauxhall in March - and have had nothing but problems ever since.

It went it with a "snag list" within 4 weeks of me buying it - they fixed most of them but I still have one HUGE ongoing problem - The petrol guage doesn't work.

Apparantly this is a well known Vauxhall fault (according to the man on the service desk) and the fact that everytime I get a courtesy car from there it does the same thing - suggests that perhaps it is. But one question remains. Why the bloody hell can't they fix it??!?!?! They inform me that Vauxhall are looking for a remedy, and nobody can do anything about it until they find one.

They also charged me today for the use of a courtesy car and also for the insurance on it. I'm outraged!

I'd also bet the cost of the car on the fact that the petrol guage won't be fixed this week either!!!!
I don't believe in doing things the easy way..... :)

  • sounds like you got a dud, i would contact HQ and try to reject it
  • Can I do this now though? The car is now 7 months old.

To be quite honest, I'd rather just give the damn thing back and buy a Volkswagen instead. :rotfl:

For a particularly problem vehicle Vauxhall should be able to just buy the car back, ive known VW to do the same...but they dont go wrong so often ;)

They have 3 chances to fix the problem then you can legally reject the car.
