When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Hi to any new posters and a big shout to the usual gang:j
Today I will:
Hope you all have a good day - good luck with the bank fay:mad: , morning mbaz:D
Catch up with you all later.

* Will ebay at least 3 things today (need to pay for connection fee to talktalk broadband - have till the 28th to raise £30)
* A NSD for me.....as long as I avoid ALL shops!
* Two lots of washing to be done at 30 degrees and will be airer dried
* Checked on-line banking (My reaction very similar to mbaz's  )
* Will blanche and freeze batch of apples off mums tree
Other than that can't think of anything!!

Hello again everyone.
I didn't get back on last night. I also didn't get quite everything done either... I would have but I suddenly realised that my car tax had run out at the end of September and I desperately needed to do something about it. There went my LSD and I didn't have enough time to go to the gym either. I am much tidier though. I just need to clean up tonight and keep up my good work.
today I have/will
- not going to check the bank today (nothing should have changed and I know where I am with it)
- keep an eye on mobile phone spend
- continue cleaning
- go to yoga class to use gym membership
- sparkle and shimmer and generally try my best to be a happy person during my busy day at work
- store cupboard meals
- low SD
- work hard and hopefully plan in when I can do some overtime (Saturday maybe?)
- drink free coffee at work
- pay more to credit card or sofa (sofa interest free for another 4 months)
- spend my hard working day day-dreaming about winning (or making) lots of extra money and planning what I am going to do with it all!
I hope everyone is ok.

Morning everyone
Urgh - wet and rainy and grey here - very miserable weather and not helping my mood this morning!
Must be the day for scary  bank balances - checked mine to find we were overdrawn so got my budgeting calculations wrong somewhere... then remembered I have a cheque for £57 in my bag from selling cds on music magpie so will be + £30-something then. Needs to last us 10 days til payday, should be fine as we have loads of food in, no more bills to pay and a full tank of petrol! We've been trying REALLY hard to not go overdrawn this month so I'll be gutted if we did!
So, today (and for the next 10 days!) will be a NSD
• Try and pay cheque in bank, unfortunately no bank near work though, maybe a drive at lunchtime...
• Brought breakfast & lunch to work
• Put leg of lamb (kindly donated by my parents! :A) into slow cooker with veg bought from fruit & veg box scheme at weekend - yum
• Use free gym membership tonight
• Check online banking
• Check Quidco, pigsback & survey sites
• Try and sell sofas we're trying to get rid of through work notice board
• Maybe have a look into selling books on Amazon - but wondering if it's really worth it?
Think that's all folks, have a great DFW day xx0 -
Good morning peeps

Today I have/will:
Package up stuff sold online
Cupboardy lunch/tea
Do my clickies
Probably more to come later
Amazon is very worth it by the way
Just got my second sale in a week this morning. No chocolate, cosmetics or clothes to be bought before xmas day 14! ~ NPower eBay target £541.670 -
Amazon is very good, very very easy - go for it - once listed the stuff stays on for 90days (i think) so you forget about it and then get lovely emails saying that you have sold something....thinks to self, must relist some stuff on Amazon!!
Add to list - *Charging phone at work*Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

:hello: Morning All, and thanks Sophiesmum.
I'm feeling a bit over-whelmed today, a bit like I can't cope, and a bit weepy.:o
And I can't check my on-line banking as I lost my card 10 days ago and I'm still waiting for a replacement. It's a bit like losing a right arm. It means I'm not over-paying anyone at the moment (minimum payments go automatically :money: ) everything has to go by cheque, and I'm having to trust my spreadsheets:eek:
But otherwise:- spent HOURS sorting DD's car insurance last night (we pay, as our contribution to her uni costs, her car expenses) getting all the quotes and looking for cashback. Only to find that nothing beat her renewal notice!:rotfl:
- charging phone at work
- brought in lunch to work
- storecupboard supper - in fact I'm trying to go another week without shopping, so interesting food ahead......
- go to the gym tonight as part of my MS so free. And free shower/gel/shampoo

- joined another opinion site and challenged myself to get £50 by Christmas.....£1 so far

- Written to Vet to dispute bill
- try and sparkle.....:o
