    Yes - it's just a matter of waiting for the Spring Bounce :)

    Mind you, we are still waiting for Spring Bounce 2008. :think:

    Don't worry we are in the middle of the after summer holiday season bounce. July and August are always quiet months so I'm sure its picked up now to traditional levels ie mid october.

    Lets just check. :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    I fear this current financial climate has turned a number of people into financial experts. Who knows the future? If people really know what is going to happen they would not be on this website answering posts - they would have brought when the market bottomed out last time and of course sold at the height of the market but anyone who has this sort of knowledge would be on their yacht in the Med not telling everyone one day they will buy, one day, one day.......

    Oh Maisie Maisie
    Some of us were financial experts or had common sense well before the current financial climate. We have been screaming from the roof tops for years on various forums warning of the on comming dangers.

    We were the people who have put off buying for the last few years and saved big deposits, we are the peoplewho sold our houses in 2007 and before to rent, we are the people who didn't jump into the collapsing buy to let bandwagon, we are the people who called shared ownership a con. Yes there are many thousands of us who predictured the future correctly. We are now sitting in our arm chairs with a little smile on our face as our predictions come true. As i said its all about having a little common sense and seeing through all that vested interest tripe.

    Oh by the way Maisie I have said for the last few years we would have a 50% fall in this crash, looks increasingly that i'll be right.:D

    Howler, if you are referring to me. No - I am not heavily mortgaged. Our mortgage is approx 25% of the value of our house

    There are some people here on this forum who have done just that, but they might not want to shout about it. besides, how could you verify that what they say is correct? Furthermore, as it involved only a couple of decisions, how do you know it's not just luck?

    The obviously correct strategy is to toss a coin, because you can't tell whether people who claim to know about these things do or not, and you can't trust your own judgment either.
    No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Gosh, I was still in education when the market last bottomed out, not much chance for me, eh? :o

    I agree no one knows the future and I certainly would have bought had I felt I had found a property that was suitable value for money and affordable at several points in the last few years, but assuming that we could all have bought 'last time' is not knowing the present either!
