Help! Having problems here! I have 2 assignmetns for today and have come down with a flu type cold thingy. Hopefully it's not proper flu but I do feel like death. Anyway, that's not the worst of it - I was intending to do my booked assignments regardless - but my 2 kids have come down with this, too, so even if I wanted to be brave myself, I can't leave them alone while I go into town to do an assignment.

ABAi have kindly allowed me to reschedule for later in the week.

However, I am having major problems contacting GR. I've left 3 messages on their 0800 number and no-one has rung me back. I sent one email to a nice lady who contacted me with a query a couple of weeks ago. She said she'd pass my email to the right dept... and guess what their response is? An email telling me to ring the 0800 number!!! Aaaarrrgghhh!!!

I guess I just wanted to rant really - but if anyone can offer advice I'd be grateful - like for example, is this going to mark me as a bad shopper forever with GR? Has anyone else had this kind of problem, and if so, how did you handle it?

I really just want to go back to bed and suffer, I can do without checking my emails every few minutes and worrying about whether they are going to allow me to reschedule.

I've always found GR to be very nice and understanding. I actually forgot to do an assignment for them once and they said as hadn't done it before I would not be penalised. I'm sure in your circumstances they will be fine.

Annoying that you can't get hold of them..don't know what to suggest, sorry!
    get well soon
  • RE had a load of jobs this morning, but they all vanished! I did nab two of them before they disappeared, so maybe they'll be going on again later today. They disappeared way too fast for it to be others getting them. Oh, and it's jobs for wine shops.

    Hi

I have my first assignments for Tern this week and would like some advice please.

After each section, you have to make comments. How much text do you write? Is it just a few sentences to cover all the relevant questions or do they expect an essay? Anyone got any idea approx how many words they expect? The jobs are pretty well paid so I would like to do well in my reports and any other tips on how to get a good score would be very much appreciated!

    Thanks guys

It's hard to say how much to write. I normally cover everything that happened (good and bad!) so it depends on how much interaction you had really. I don't know if that is helpful or not - lol.

Scaredy Cat - I had to change a Grass Roots one last week as I was poorly last Monday. The last shopping date was Wednesday and she was happy to change it till then, but told me to ring them up first thing if I still felt poorly so they could reallocate it.

Hope you feel better soon. I've got infected sinuses again, and have been to the doctors this morning for antibiotics. I hate my sinuses!
Here I go again on my own....

Thanks! They've actually just come through for me! :j I had an email to reschedule my assignments and then about a minute later a phonecall from someone else! Very nice of them, and I feel awful for leaving 3 messages now, but I was starting to panic! Like I said, I just want to go back to bed!

And you know how they say it never rains but it pours... I just had a phonecall from Bare  asking me to do some telephone calls for them! I am in shock! I've never done any work for them but have applied for phonecalls in the past (months ago) and just never been allocated any. Wonders will never cease!!!

    Thanks again for the sympathy!

Hope you feel better soon too Becles. My sinuses are all blocked and that's giving me a rotten headache. I rang school to tell them my daughter won't be in today and it turns out 11 of her class-mates are also ill

You can only pick a max. of 2 of the wine shop jobs - this is why they has disappeared from your list, others will still be able to select the ones that are left.

Oooh, I never knew that! Just as well I went for two which are close by. Do they tell you in advance if there is a maximum number of shops you can do, or do they just disappear, like they did for me?

    Thanks for the info NMS!

i tried to get a job this morning but it said i had done the questionaire wrongly. i did it about five times and knew i had the answers right. maybe they are fixing that - i emailed to tell them.

the same thing happened last week as well. no matter what answers you put it kept saying you were wrong. they sorted it and i got the job!
