nope. Gift cards and vouchers are earnings for tax and nic
If you're an employee and your employer gives you vouchers they have 2 options
1) declare the vouchers on a P11D at the end of the year and you as the employee will pay the tax
2) Enter into a PAYE settlement agreement where the employer accepts the responsibility for paying the tax and nic due.
The 2nd means the employee thinks they have received the vouchers tax free etc..
For self employment I'm guessing the taxman will tell you it's earnings and laiblt to tax. You'll have to declare the vouchers as part of your turnover.0 -

Matthew, the onlime submission that needs to be in by early 2009 is for the tax year April 2007- March 2008 so will not include any shopping jobs done after that date - you have the pleasure of submitting those in next year's return. Thus if you have recently started msing you don't need to worry just yet!Gala bingo wins £70!!! mystery shopping earnings: £0

On my applications I have usually waffled about ...I love shopping and enjoy encountering good service. MS'ing allows me do make a contribution to this. I then say I am punctual, reliable and have good powers of observation. I am experienced at following briefs and reporting on outcomes accurately and without prejudice.
Got me into most companies I have applied for so far.

I think I heard back from TNS within a week when I signed up. Gap in a day or two and GFK within the week.
When I joined, I just wrote that I am interested in customer service, enjoy shopping, reliable, good memory, good command of english language etc0 -
Yup, that's the kind of flannel I use too, HP! (but I think it is actually true by now!) You get better with experience, that's for sure!

I saw this and bought 14 stamps, including 5 x 20p stamps, but on the receipt the teller had entered 1 x £1! It's ridiculous, it's not like I could argue about it to them, they'd think i was crazy (or obviously a mystery shopper).
Why do they need a minimum of 14 stamps anyway?
I'll have to keep a close eye on whether I get paid! :mad:Have you seen as well on Gap, on the stamp shop scenario that restricts what you can buy under stamps, it now says a minimum of 14 stamps!0
