If anyone remembers that problem I had with the Gap drive-thru... where they asked me to clarify the timings and also I hadn't been able to get a receipt because there was no ink left in the printer...

I emailed them with the apology and clarification last Friday or may have been Saturday. I've still not heard if they are going to pay me. I've only had a query like this once before and that time they sent me an email to confirm they would pay. What is the norm? Do they email only if they ARE going to pay and leave you to guess if they are not going to pay, or would they email me either way, or what???

Scaredy what the state of the assignment? accepted or rejected? If it is accepted there's a good chance you will be paid, there's no real harm in emailing them to confirm.

They definitely email you when it is has been rejected. I would still respond to them if they reject it.

Regardless of what they tell you, keep an eye on your payment because I've not been paid for 'Accepted' assignments plenty of times. They seem to randomly reject assignments without telling you behind the scenes and hope you don't notice. I bet they get away with it most of the time too.

Thanks. It's still showing as approved in my jobs list - but it showed as approved even when they emailed and said payment was on hold, so I don't think that counts for much.

Maybe I should email them, only I'm a bit wary of drawing too much attention to it in case it makes them question it again.

Had a query about the Spanish restaurant this week, the member of staff who served me didn't like my report and has disputed several facts. I feel really annoyed as they are factual things like timings and if he made any dish recommendations. I gave a good report for the subjective parts so it was clear that I wasn't lying to "do them over". I really enjoyed the meal and was willing him to do what he was supposed to. I even gave a nice tip. Feel like going in and asking for it back!

Has anyone done a heath club job with RE for the company with the well-known red logo owned by a very well-known billionaire!

You have to be a member for 6 weeks and complete up to 12 reports, it sounds like a huge amount of work!

Now sorry if I'm being thick here, but how do you see the jobs on Bare? I go to the job board, and there is nothing there. I click on search by state and nothing appears.

I've only recently signed up to them, is there something I need to do? It says that my status is Active.

Edit: Realised that if I search by country, I get shops available, so must just be the counties that I have been searching for have no shops available.
  • With Bare I only ever see things when you search by Country
Sealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151
    GC Yearly £3k so far £1097 May£220/£300
    £1k in 100 days so far - £235 :p
Snowball debt free calculator says DEC 09 - lets hope we can do it!

  • That's not necessarily a reason to think you haven't passed. I recall they took ages to let me know (well, it felt like ages, but probably wasn't really). And I didn't give them that answer about a hotel - I never mentioned hotels at all. I gave the answer that I *thought* was right, and I got accepted.

Thanks everyone for their help, turned out I was worrying over nothing and got accepted this afternoon! Looking forward to some MSing!
