The Mystery Shopping thread - part 6

Savemoney - please correct me if I'm wrong but you seem to just appear when someone advertises jobs on this thread - again, apologies if I'm wrong but I don't believe you've actually contributed to this thread other than to complain about Mystery Shop UK.
It's a shame that we have so many jobsworth lurkers who just arrive when there's something to spoil and disappear just as fast. I and other regular contributors to this board have made our feelings clear before that yes it is advertising, but it's exactly in the same way as a grabbit on the grabbit board.0 -
I pointed to the rules Timme. Surely that would be better than keep stump and reporting the post? We are encouraged to report such posts, as the forums are not monitored
I happen to frequent these forums a lot, I dont just hunt for that posters posts I just happen to notice it, and remembered what they did before
The Op must have known by now that it was against the rules had they had posts removed before. You clearly agree its advertising "yes it is advertising", but because you want them to post even though its against the rules you find that acceptable, rules are rules
The rules are quite simply, if you dont like them you can always not post here. Instead you rather have yet another dig at me mealy for pointing out the rules and calling me a jobsworth0 -
If mysteryshopuk posted on the alerts thread, then it would be no different to all the other posts on there would it? Except for a bit more detail. Maybe be better to post these alerts on that thread, as they are very useful.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

My view is that the post needn't be reported at all, although I understand it can be seen as against the rules, despite it not being as cut and dry as 'advertising' as we benefit from the posts. The Op must have known by now that it was against the rules had they had posts removed before. You clearly agree its advertising "yes it is advertising", but because you want them to post even though its against the rules you find that acceptable, rules are rules
As above, the definition of advertising needs to be looked at more closely.Instead you rather have yet another dig at me mealy for pointing out the rules and calling me a jobsworth
I can do that if you want? All I'm saying is that it would be nothing but pointless and a waste of my time to venture on to any other established, highly popular thread to which I have made no helpful contributions and start reporting people. I don't see why you don't have anything more pressing than to be doing this!0 -
Well you may have a view it as its within the rules but abuse removed previous posts as you well know so it must be seen as against the rules.
I dont go looking for the posters posts I just happen to notice it as I go in income forum every day I dont visit this thread but I saw there post as the last post in this thread as it is shown in the income forum
In future I shall keep stump if it bothers you and just report them, much easier this way for me.0 -
@savemoney - seeing as we're talking about "rules". There is a rule here that states "Pls be nice to all MoneySavers".
So, be nice to us and stop being a "jobsworth" and stop reporting the posts, as they are clearly valued and popular in this part of the forum.0 -
