The Mystery Shopping thread - part 6

Hi all, thanks for the advice yesterday, much appreciated! Just catching up now...
1) RE is still a crashing pain in the backside, I thought it was working again and I've just got half way through a report and its crashed on me again, so I'm leaving it until the morning. Also, earlier today, I released two sports shop jobs as I realised I had bitten off more than I could chew with the amount of assignments I had on today. When I got back from my MSing expedition, the jobs had been reallocated and were back on my account! Their system obviously has big gremlins today!
2) Aba-i - what are they like on late assignments? I had a few jobs today and when I arrived at my final one today (catalogue shop) it had closed early, probably as we got battered with snow this afternoon, do you think it would be ok if I do this job tomorrow lunchtime, will it still get accepted?
3) BARE - I've had exactly the same problems with reports for them this week. Two of mine came back with snotty comments about 'numbering the questions' and 'sticking to the guidelines' .. I've always had 8's and 9's with them before and I've never once numbered a comment, so this ticked me off. Hoping that whoever this new person is.. its not a permanent thing, maybe holiday cover for the usual grader?

I wonder if we ought to add something to the first post about always printing off job notes asap after accepting the job, bearing in mind the RE problems? It's not the first time that this sort of thing has happened with them and with others, so kind of think we ought to recommend it as a best practice?
Maybe with the caveat that you just visually check they haven't changed nearer the time (if you can!) so that if it has changed you're aware, like my recent pharmacy job!0 -

I've emailed BARE to express my frustration about this 'numbering the comments' nonsense as it's never been mentioned before and I usually get 9 or 10. I'd like to suggest others also email to query this new policy, if that's what it is. I think if it's just me who emails they'll think it must be fine as everyone else has accepted it without question, but if we all email them, maybe they'll look again at the grading system, or at this particular issue.0 -
I did an RE Railway station job today but the place was closed. Unfortunately I won't be able to go back to the location anytime soon. Do I just email them what happened? You don't get points deducted for not being able to reschedule, do you?0
-
If it was closed and you went as per the stated times then let them know and they will pay you the fee.
I normally take a photo of the closed shop.

You have to send RE an email now after finishing your report
took me an hour to do one for RE with the probs today and 13 mins for GR

That's a good idea josie.
I always save the notes and questionnaire to a folder on my pc desk top as soon I have had a job confirmed. With some they save as a PDF, which is easy, with others it saves as a web page (RE questionnaires). But even with the RE questionnaires saving as a web page, you can still access them if the site is down. I then check nearer the time to make sure they haven't changed then print them or make up an assignment sheet myself (same info, less paper - usually 1 sheet, 2 for bigger asignments).SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
SPC 9 (2016) #485 TOTAL £84
SPC 10 (2017) # 485 TOTAL: £464.80

aargh I spent ages earlier writing up two reports and RE has lost them bothThe early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0
