Hi
I have just recently joined Retail Eyes can I ask where you find the jobs on there? On the other thread it says xyz on RE now etc so can you please tell me where I go to find them?
Thank you!!!0 -
Hello
I am new to mystery shopping and have just downloaded quickbooks simplestart. I am a complete novice with regards to this.
I believe the 'customer' would be the mystery shop
Expenses I understand.
can someone quickly tell me how to do process a mystery shop visit say for £10, paper expenses 78p, pertrol expenses £1.50.
And will I make an expense for HMRC or just take it off the total profit figure?
Thanks for any help. Never judge those that try then fail, only those that fail to try! :mad:0 -

I'm afraid you are part of the problem.
I spoke to RE today and asked where the 6000 jobs were.
Jenny said that as they have 250 new shoppers joining PER WEEK  then as soon as the jobs are posted they are snapped up.
Unfortunately with their new crappy web-site:mad: you can't search any more and I don't believe jobs post correctly.
Best way is to go into the "My Defined Areas" window and add areas nearby to you and increase the range to 50 miles.
Should at least get more choices.
Good luck.
BTW
RE jobs are nearly as badly paid as GAP so even if you get one don't expect a decent fee, nor the purchase to be inside the expenses allowed, no travel allowance and be prepared to answer 50 + questions most of the time.
Apart from that they are great!0 -
Oh dear, have you seen the new job notes on the RE pub meal jobs? So, they are saying they will reimburse £25, which on the face of it seems reasonable, a decent reimbursement for a pub job, BUT, in the notes, they are saying that additional courses or meals will not be paid for, only the minimum requirement of the job which is 2 main meals and two drinks. hmmmm.
So previously, I've always spent more than the reimbursement, and always got the full reimbursement back, but not anymore. On the face of it, these jobs look reasonably attractive... there is a modest fee which would cover petrol money and then a decent reimbursement, but the reality is different, in fact some of the pub's listed, in order to spend £25, you'd have to spend about 4 hours in there and have a 3 course meal and loads of drinks, but of course, under the new rules.. all you would get reimbursed is 2 main meals in 2 drinks... which in some establishments within this wave, would cost you about £9.50.
GRRRRRRRRR!!!!
RE is going to get ditched by me very soon. They may be getting 250 new sign ups a week, but how many will hang around when they realise how they get treated. I've always had a reasonably good relationship with them but they crossed the line last week. I turned up to a job and it was closed, despite me informing them right away and me filing a report to that effect and advising them that I needed to be paid my out of pocket expenses for the job, they just released it and didn't pay me.0 -

I can't quite see what the problem is
Usually with RE it's the other way around. You get a £9.50 fee and the meals cost you £25.00 :rolleyes:0 -
There are about 6 of these I could do but they all need to be done before 8pm and you can't take children. DS usually goes to bed about 7ish so would be cutting it a bit fine. Would love to do one of these, going to stay at my parents for a few days next week so they could have babysat lol!
Just finished my gym assignement for RE, had to cancel my membership today, back to a life of being a couch potato for me I guess...0 -

What don't you understand? The fee on these is £3.50. They are stating that the reimbursement is £25 but the job notes state that they will only reimburse for 2 meals and 2 drinks, no additional items. Some of the pubs in this wave offer 2 main meals for £7.19 and a pint of beer costs 99p. Do the math.0 -
A pint? For 99p??? Where???? I'm there!0

hehe, possibly. I am seriously lacking any form of sense of humour tonight as husband has just been made redundant and I have 12 MS jobs to do tomorrow and no idea how I'm gonna manage them all in the timescale, I need superpowers! and maybe a good nights sleep0
