I'm afraid you are part of the problem.

I spoke to RE today and asked where the 6000 jobs were.

Jenny said that as they have 250 new shoppers joining PER WEEK  then as soon as the jobs are posted they are snapped up.

Unfortunately with their new crappy web-site:mad: you can't search any more and I don't believe jobs post correctly.

Best way is to go into the "My Defined Areas" window and add areas nearby to you and increase the range to 50 miles.

Should at least get more choices.

    Good luck.

    BTW
RE jobs are nearly as badly paid as GAP so even if you get one don't expect a decent fee, nor the purchase to be inside the expenses allowed, no travel allowance and be prepared to answer 50 + questions most of the time.

Apart from that they are great!
i agree jobs are getting less and less mystery shopper like myself who have done it years are finding other work as the fees have dropped so much

And I agree with josie too; arguing's not allowed on this thread, we dropped it last year :D;)

Haha, thats me told off. Sorry, bee in my bonnet last night... with RE that is. They used to be one of my favourites but they are rapidly descending to the bottom of my list. I think, like some others on here, that I'm going to drop them or at the very least, be incredibly selective in my dealings with them.

GFK on the other hand, I adore, and more than half of my work lately it coming from them... which is where I'm off to now. Long day of MSing stretching out in front of me, and not a pub meal in sight :D

I've virtually stopped with most of them now RE especially

    BTW
GfK do some high end restaurants in exhibition halls in London with a high spend limit. (Nearly £100).
They seem to be genuinely good.

Do they? You know, in all my time with GFK, I don't think I've ever seen a single food assignment, with the exception of cafe's within university's and hospitals. Never any real restaurants. I'll keep an eye out for those, thanks!
  • Last year, I did almost anything and everything RE asked me. This year, I am only doing jobs if they're convenient; eg today, I am going to see some ex colleagues and browse the shops in the area where I have got 4 jobs allocated for RE. I'm organised enough to sort everything out and will end up £25 in profit and have a free meal, drink, drink on the go, snack and I am pleased with myself. Where I have so many jobs in the same place, I spend time on the phone, because I have free minutes, talking in code to the voicemail on my other phone which also has free minutes or voicemail, or I text details to the other phone. I also scrawl notes down in the toilets as well as in the crossword part of a newspaper. If it's clothing retail, that's something I do in the fitting rooms.

when gfk email me to say there are jobs in my area there is only ever one or two to choose from.

cherry pie - how do you find half of your jobs with them?

I know RE may not pay huge fees, but I have found them great to deal with. I never go out of my way for them. I only shop my own patch and only when convenient. In a good week for very little effort I can easily do a couple of drug stores, a few bottle shops, get 3 or 4 free lunches, a free drink or two after work and a free meal. The hotel visits are also great, I know their is no fee and the report can take a while, but as my job takes me around the region a free night with a good 3 course meal and a few drinks is a way to keep the travel costs down. The bookies were also good as the fee was fine and you could easily do the 3 per week they allowed in a few hours and pocket the winnings.

It all kicked off on here last night ;-)
Some of the pub jobs on RE I have not seen before, like my local, glad I'm not going, looked at reviews of the place and someone said they got food poisoning. They also specified drinks but not meals - so there are lots of different briefs. I don't think if you are a good cook, MS is not for you, I am also a good cook and like going out for a meal once in a while - also reminds me why I don't go out for a meal if I have to pay.
RE will see the error of thier ways when people who are just trying to make money to pay their bills thinking this is easy money, end up giving rubbish reports. I do RE jobs when I have better paid jobs in the area (where your travel is paid) and I need to grab a lunch.
  • The chance of a meal would be nice. All I can see are bloomin train station hot drinks. Not much work available on any sites at the moment.

I am not slagging them off; they're good to deal with but the fees are negligable if there at all at times, and at the moment, the pub meals for 2 are not suitable as I am single and would have nobody to go with.
