i was just sorting out my mystery shopping records and was surprised to find i have made £308.50 in fees and £562.68 in 'free stuff' since my first job at the end of october 2008. these have mainly been from g p and re.

just thought newbies might like to see the earnings potential.

p.s. i work full time so can only do jobs in evenings/weekends.

Wow, that's impressive! I've earned no where near that in a year :rotfl:

In part because I don't do the pub, nightclub, restaurant, fast food ones :)

i have done a few restaurants, two casinos, bingo and a gym which where all big reimbursements.

done plenty of burgers though - need to find a weightwatcher ms!!

i am trying to do as much as possible as i want to pay my debts off asap in this current economic climate.
  • Tern pay between £15 and £20 per assignment usually. They mostly deal with fashion retailers and opticians. I think they're really reliable and its worth the effort doing the "mock" assignment. I wouldn't fake it though, they will pick up on it. They give you a score out of 10 after you've completed each assignment and also give you comments about your report. They are very thorough and want things done perfectly.

This is probably why they pay a bit more than the other companies. They want loads of comments in their reports too so they take a while to complete. Sometimes you need to comment on every answer you give them, it's not just a multiple choice questionnaire.

In relation to how often they have jobs, well they tend to put out a store or two at a time and include all their branches. So say for example it was Boots (which they dont do and I dont know who does) they will list every Boots branch and you need to apply for the one(s) you want to do. They will email you back to let you know if you have been sucessful in your application or not. I am not having much luck with them at the moment as all the ones I have applied to this year so far have been given to another shopper even though my average score is 9.

    Hope this helps.
  • Thanks Mysterious Girl - that was really helpful!

Actually, I prefer the ones where they want lots of comments because I do try to make out good reports and like to put in lots of details. I often curse the screen when doing GR reports because it's so hard to limit my answers to 255 characters!
  • Can anyone advise me regarding RE? There was an alert a couple of hours ago saying Japanese food on RE. I logged on, and there was nothing. Now, I'm not particularly bothered as I suspect I would hate this kind of food anyway, but I am curious.

Can anyone say if there are/were any of these jobs in the north (my range stretches from York up to Newcastle). I'm wondering if I'm not being offered these (and other jobs) because I've only done one RE job so far. I'm not on probation any more but the mass of jobs I expected to be able to see just hasn't materialised.

my range is around manchester but i couldn't see any japanese jobs either - would have liked one as well!

i have taken pubs and nightclubs off my profile and i am not getting any jobs at the moment. don't know if this makes a difference.

Just wondering if anyone has done a shop for Aba-i or Amberarch as yet. I joined about 3 weeks ago and I can't find anything listed at all.

Aba-i shows a certain clothign group in my profile but beyond that there's nada coming up.
