  • After my self imposed break from MSing, I am back with a last minute acceptance of a job tomorrow; clothing retail, which will be nice. I'm making a day of it; spending the day in the area and enjoying it.

Have fun, clothes shops are the best!!! ;)
  • Regarding the Japanese places; they are only in London. I do them when I'm down there but that chain does not operate north of there. Shame really. :(

Yes it is a shame as the food is lovely:D It's healthy too and makes a nice change from the usual mystery shopper diet of pizza and burgers!

Perhaps they think we only eat unhealthy food up north:rolleyes:
  • Please can anyone tell me what area codes to put in on Kerns sassie sign up, I put in my areas and it came back as invalid area codes, yet Bare and Terns sassie sign up allowed my area codes.

    Thanks

quote=brryssn;18003165]I did a Jewellery visit back in November which was through Kern, but for the MS company Confero.

Kern also book for Secret Shopping Services, but after reading about Becles experiences with them, I wouldn't do any jobs for them, though I had no problems at all with Kern themselves or Confero - I had a lot of communication from them (the job was delayed because they sent the wrong Rewards Package out to me, & it took a while for the correct one to be sent from the USA)

This was a ""reveal" job, and I can honestly say it was one of my favourites from last year. The Sales Consultant was delighted when I presented her with her reward - (quite a substantial amount!) and all the other staff were so pleased for her too.

The Jewellers offered me a glass of wine & chocolates at the end, it was a premium fee, I got a top score and lovely comments, so all in all it was great!!

They pay out at the end of the month following the assignment, but don't know if yours will be the same.

PS My fav jobs were a flight to Paris & one to Berlin, where I got to stay overnight for next to nothing, great fees & lots of lovely shopping!

Yes, been trying to encourage people on the alerts thread to post the area that the ms's are in, if possible.

Someone posted new jobs on TNS - well, when I logged in and looked at "all" I couldn't see any new ones anyway, so not particularly helpful. Sometimes if just one job pops up, it may be because someone has released it, as we've just heard with some of the stamp jobs.

I've done these with the 3 questions and I usually pretend that one of them I'm asking on behalf of someone else - ooh, my husband wanted to know about his car tax - can you tell me... if that's any help. You may think that they'll rumble you, but I haven't been sussed yet on one of these. I think a lot of people go in with all sorts of questions.

Anyone got a stamp shop job where it's an application check that they shouldn't accept? Seems a bit of a strange one and no purchase, but a good fee for a change.

i was just sorting out my mystery shopping records and was surprised to find i have made £308.50 in fees and £562.68 in 'free stuff' since my first job at the end of october 2008. these have mainly been from g p and re.

just thought newbies might like to see the earnings potential.

p.s. i work full time so can only do jobs in evenings/weekends.

Blimey! That's going some - that's more like about 9 months worth for me - I don't do burgers either, but haven't had any casino big payers - think my total "income" for tax purposes for the 07/08 was around £750, with a nice healthy £706 in expenses! But then I'm fairly happy to do the jobs with a paper loss like other restaurants.

Just had my tax computation through and my tax bill includes tax & NIC (so perhaps this includes class 2 - who knows?)

    Please can anyone help urgently?

I have just done a supermarket for TNS and had to ask a question of the assistants in various departments. Am I supposed to comment on the first visit to the department and mark N/A if no one is there or keep returning to the department until I find someone?

I eventually found someone after 3 visits to health & beauty, 2 to fruit & veg 3 to clothes and no one at all in booze!

Advise appreciated so I can fill in the questionnaire!! Thanks a lot folks x

I have taken one of these. I thought it was a bit generous for GYP but hey, take it while it's there lol

From what I remember you can leave them blank - I had the same problem & emailed them, so just left them blank & they went through OK.

Many thanks Jo for all your help with the Tax form - that has been a laugh & a half today!

It kept coming up with "error" in the box where it asks for further info about your Business, and I could not see anything wrong with what I had written - I re-did it several times but the same thing kept happening. I even got other people to look at it, & they couldn't see what was wrong with it. In the end, out of sheer frustration, because it wouldn't allow me to move on until that was sorted, I just put "I give up - I can't for the life of me see what the error is" and lo & behold - it went through!
    ;)
