The Mystery Shopping thread - part 6

I had a similar experience to mysterious girl yesterday. I was making an enquiry in a bank regarding personal banking and I was treated like I was the most important customer they had seen this year although there were other customers there. On the way out I was stopped by the manager who said she was doing a survey to ensure all her customers were happy - the questions were exactly the same as on the MS questionnaire and I didn't see her ask anyone else.
i was once treated like royalty in a burger shop after asking for the receipt and sitting on my own in the corner! they came over to see if i would like and extra napkins or sauces!! it was hilarious!!0 -

Has anyone else been given as assignment like that in the past, and did you manage it without arousing suspicion?
If its the ones Im thinking of you also have to pay by card for something, so why not pay by card on the door and get the receipt for the card transaction, doesnt look as suspect - when I worked on the door of a nightclub people used to do it all the time to try and keep track of their spending on a night out (do it myself most of the time, although nights out in a club are rare these days). Either that or most of our regulars were mystery shoppers  , lol if they had been we'd probably have been shut down alot sooner for the refurbishment and retraining :AIt’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I once booked a table at a pizza place online - the notes had said I could, and I was worried there might be queue. Anyway, we got really good service that day!Hubby keeps saying we should book a table in advance even if it's not a job!

I've done this a few times and it works, they don't seem to suspect. I always use to get the royal treatment too so now use this ruse.:rotfl:
This tip is really only applicable to female readers:
Another way to confuse them is to wear a uniform (i.e. nurse or beautician) if you happen to have one lying around. I wear mine sometimes on various jobs so they think I'm legitimately in my break. Ladies, if you don't have one it's worth investing in one, you can pick one up for around £14.00 on ebay - hubby might enjoy the role playing too! hee hee.0 -

I just accepted a few jobs and didn't do them - it got them to ring me and I was able to tell them exactly what I thought about their non payment
(Although this was before I realised they did coffee jobs)
Wish I had been a fly on the wall during that conversation Timmne. Did you get your money though.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
They didn't pay me correctly a few months back - I was two fees short. I emailed them and surprisingly enough after a couple of days got a response and managed to get them to agree they had underpaid me. They added it to the following month's money.
Thanks for that Hoop-la. I will try that. When we sign up with MS'ing companies we undertake to be reliable, punctual, honest etc etc. Surely it is incumbent on them to honour their side of the bargain.Clique member no 1.:D0
