I know I've been sussed if they roll out a red carpet for me as a "trial in customer satisfaction"

My first post!! I do mystery shopping for 3 companies. It doesn't make me rich but it helps. I would say firstly that for those that are with Gapbuster, if the jobs in your area aren't being snatched up it's worth waiting until nearer the shopping date as I seem to get calls from them to cover these visits in the next 2 or 3 days and they will offer me up to £6 extra if I take it but sometimes it means I have to travel a bit further. In this position they are always ready to negotiate with you!! It does help if you have really worked at providing well spelled and punctuated reports so double check everything you submit and follow their guidelines!! Also the other companies may well offer you banks to visit at first and although these may seem hard they don't cost you anything and the companies will see you are willing to carry out the boring visits so will come back to you and offer better visits after you have proved yourself!! hope this helps. Got my first recorded phone call job tomorrow, am stupidly nervous about it, but when do you get the recording to play back while you do the report is it on the day or later as usually the company want the report before midnight on the day of the shop/call?

Did a pizza MS last week, when paying at the end of the meal I asked if I could keep the receipt - you should have seen the server's face drop. All of a sudden it was "Oh did you enjoy your meal? I'm SO glad! A special occasion?"

Pity it was too late, he'd already rushed through service with us, probably due to the fact that four young girls were sat at the table next to us and he was all over them like a rash!

Hi - if it's with RE the recording doesn't come in until up to 24 hours later. Keep an eye out but if you do it tomorrow afternoon I wouldn't expect it to be in until Friday morning. HTH and good luck x

I found that when the call is uploaded on RE and you get the link to click on the call to listen to it. If you right click and "save target as" it will download the mp3 (your call) to your PC so you can keep it and refer back to it at a later date if you need to. Also I found it good to see where I can do better in the next one.

I dont know if its me lately but are shop assistants not to bothered about closing a sale? I leave a blank silence and will them to ask me a question and they just look at me blankly. How difficult is it not to prompt them on....??:T

Would welcome a comment from one of you Gappites. As you all know I was the one the christened them Gyp.

I did one job last year got mucked around and didn;t get paid.

Thought I would give them another chance recently and did a phone in pizza. Nearly died when it cost £17 then checked on the site and the reimbursement was £12. So sod them. I wont be doing any more work for them The pizza was crap too!!!.

Notice posters saying tonight they had been paid. Is there a way I can check on their site what and when they pay as I have received SOD ALL.

I am highly tempted to use their contact us button and tell them I will take them to the cleaners, report them to the police for fraud or something. Threaten them with anything I can think of us.

Does anyone else have experience of getting money out of them when they don't pay up like this. I shrugged it off last time but I sure as hell ain't letting them away with it this time.

I just accepted a few jobs and didn't do them - it got them to ring me and I was able to tell them exactly what I thought about their non payment

(Although this was before I realised they did coffee jobs )

They didn't pay me correctly a few months back - I was two fees short. I emailed them and surprisingly enough after a couple of days got a response and managed to get them to agree they had underpaid me. They added it to the following month's money.

i renecelty signed up to gfk and today i got a email saying that an assignment was available - i then checked under my account on the gfk website but found that there was no assignments available at the present time

does this happen alot that their are no tieups between the emails that get sent out and what assignmenst are actually available via the website
